Well done Camille - great win!
Well done Camille - great win!
Times were probably affected by the unusual winter heat.
Contrary to what many of the guys on this forum think, it is heart-warming to see so many of the women lurkers on this sub come out and congratulate one of their own. Way to go Camille!
This is GREAT, congrats Jaguar!!!
I'd have trouble beating that time on my bike! Nice.
0/10 troll.
Thanks to the person who posted the elevation map. Makes the victory even more impressive.
Comrades is the Boston Marathon of ultras. Any win is a big win. I followed coverage of the first half and she took it out with guts, against the defending champion.
She is getting into Ann Trason territory now...
Big win, Camille! Congrats!
incredible!
my gosh I enjoy running but six and a half hours, I don't think I want to do anything for that long, I don't even sleep that much in one session!
here is the strava course and 10th place woman, best I could find
Picks up circa $33,000 (if I converted correctly)! Is that the biggest prize in ultras?

Of course, as with many third world currencies, the South Africa Rand is protected. Meaning you can't take more than $1,000 out of the country.
So Camille will be buying a hell of a lot of 2010 World Cup Vuvuzelas, Nelson Mandela souveneir postage stamps, and unpleasant red wine.
Humility is not in Camille's dictionary.
Also, the race is hitstoric, but not so much competitive for this year's women's side.
When Camille can get within 10 minutes of the U.S. Trials top 3 runners, then we can take about accomplishments and prowess.
Camille is also 2 of 7 races in winning this year, most where not too competitive.

Did you forget about working? That is usually 8-hours.
Yeah, she could just deposit it in her bank, dummy.

Please post a link to YOUR results that are within 10-minutes of the U.S. Trials top 3 runners; marathon assumed.

Really - this is how anonymous posters treat one of our own.
Perhaps you mean "were not too competitive"
Moran
Oh yeah
Congrats Camille
Congratulations! Amazing!
She just won the what's arguably the most important ultra in the world. We can talk about accomplishments and prowess now. I wouldn't bet real heavily that the top three finishers at our marathon trials would win that race.
Great win for Camille! She is having a great year, and this has to be the best result of her career, but let's tap the breaks on the Transon comparisons. If she can win WS this year, she is pretty much a lock for UROY. If she can string together double digit WS wins, we can start the Transon vs Herron debate.
