I think Webb was clearly a bigger talent in my eyes.
Now, in terms of longer distance, I think GF would rank first on my list as far as Americans go.

Alberto Junatorena and Seb Coe come to mind...
Can't help but think there are multiple kids (Grant Fisher Types) where if someone like Salazar starting training them full time to high school (actually making them train like pros) we'd see a handful of guys with better pedigree than Rupp.

What year did Grant Fisher start focusing on running full time? He played soccer in the fall for at least a couple seasons, if not through his entire high school career, right? And wasn't his mileage relatively "normal" for a talented guy, maybe 50mpw? Breaking 4 on that combination is pretty insane. We also know that his endurance isn't lacking at all, either. Time will tell, but Grant seems to be a better talent than Galen. Will he get an equally ambitious (to be kind) coach after college? Time will tell.

Neither of them are white in the general sense.

Rupp's certainly had the best distance career of any white guy in quite some time. It's impossible to know how much of that is due to talent versus intelligent long-term development vs exogenous aids. My guess is that his success has had less to do with talent and more to do with the latter two. I tend to think that guys who emerged as world class distance runners at younger ages like Ritz, Hall and Kennedy are/were more naturally talented distance runners than Rupp. There are also a number of recent white middle distance guys that I'd also say are more naturally talented than Rupp: Webb, Centro Jr, Murphy, Willis to name a few. But again, Rupp has put together a better career to date than any of these guys.
Centro Jr, also not white.
No one has mentioned the dame with the mind-blowing marathon record: Paula Radcliffe.

Going by the one-drop rule, odds are you aren't white either. Sorry.
No. Ever heard of a guy named Paavo Nurmi?
Lasse Viren
My vote's for the big, powerful Chris Solinsky. The heaviest runner to ever break 13 & 27 at 160 lbs plus. In fact, he's only 1 of 3 runners >140 lbs to ever break 13 & 27. His 5000 PB is faster than Rupp, and he's few seconds behind Rupp in the 10, yet Solinski's 25 or so pounds heavier than him. A massive engine on a big frame. Serious genetics at work here to run world class times at that size.

Isn't Hicham EL F considered White?

Why would you be sorry? I am not even close to white.

She clearly has received way more than one drop in her veins.

Fairly sure Centro Jr is half black
Anyone ever heard of Chris Solinsky? Didn't even get to his prime running years and ran 12:55/26:59. Oh and he did it at 160+ pounds!!!!

Because this thread is about talents, not super responders.
