This guy intrigues me. 21.0/45.53/1:16/1:54 at Notre Dame, now training with Gags, ran 1:15.96 indoors and now 1:46.49, taking down Jock and Abda for third. The 800 is loaded with U.S. talent right now, but I could see him squeaking onto the team for London. In any case a great start to his completely new career.
Yeah I think the team is gonna be Murphy, Berian, and Brazier. Not sure where Boris has been or how fit he is, but my dark horse picks are Windle (if he can survive the rounds) and Engels (he surprised everyone at the trials last year and could do it again, but will prob run the 1500). Sowinski is good, but doesn't seem to have that extra gear, and Loxsom has done nothing convincing outdoors so far after being the world leader indoors. It's tough to call though cause Harris seems to be in top form right now too. I think the 8 guys I've listed above will be the final. Solomon is past his prime, and Symmonds apparently being in 1:50 shape isn't getting out of the heats, or even into USAs at all if that's where he's at (as much as I'd love to see him make the team). Jock/Abda are inconsistent, and Geisting is really inexperienced and hasn't run 800 rounds before. Walker is really good too, but we shall see. Super deep this season!
