Have some concerns...
finished a good cross season and continued my training in december/january with weeks of 60-70-80-90-85-90-85-93, all of these included speed work and tempos and long runs. feb 01 i am down with achillies problem.. until feb 18 when i get a cortizone shot in my retro calcaneal bursa sac on the left heel......
My question is can i get in good 5k shape in 18 days. i am going to need to run a 5k in 14:55 on a friday night and a 14:40 on the next afternoon. can it be done. i am going to try but how can i ensure myself to get my track sharpness(anarobic fitness) and proper aerobic fitness back in such a short time period. those aren't great times but they will get what i am trying to do accomplished....please only logical advice. thanx
