Thanks for clarifying. I thought that if, in fact, they increased, it might have ever-so-slightly been because of attitudes that have lead to one prominent comedienne from displaying a mock of the President's severed and bloodied head.

Guys, I am happy to report that my transgender experiment went better than expected. Despite my facial hair, Adam's apple, penis, and big muscles, I was able to get into the girl's locker room and shamed them all for screaming at me because I am a transgender. After my thorough tongue lashing at them, they reciprocated.
This is less absurd than you think. My wife and daughters visited a public bathroom in DC, but chose to wait until the bearded man, er, person-with-Adam's-apple etc. finished his/her loitering.

Also, you cannot talk about why people can choose their sex/gender, but can't choose their race or you will be attacked as a transphobic racist:
Ironically, sex is genetically specified, whereas race is genetically superficial.
The human brain is sexually differentiated not racially differentiated. A neuroscientist could look at the brain of woman and that of a man and would very likely be able to correctly identify their respective genders. However, a neuroscientist would not be able to identify one's race based on brain images. This is why transsexualism is considered by most in the field of psychiatry and psychology to be an inborn condition: essentially a birth defect whereby sexual differentiation of the brain develops in the opposite direction of the body in utero.
I ran in the late 70's/early 80's. Just your average 4:16 JS. 3:50 college runner.
I'm petitioning for a retro-active gender ressaginment. Soon I'll hold all the female world records for 800 and 1500!!!
Hope my wife does not find out.

Race is not superficial, and you're a brainwashed cuck. Race defines a lot more than skin color. There are many, many, many differences between the races beyond their melanin content. Doctors have to take race into account when prescribing certain medications, different races even have differences in skin thickness, bone density... the US is filled with cucks.
I'm trying hard to understand all of this relatively new phenomena with wanting to do away with notions of fixed "gender". There are a lot of different opinions from people even on the same side of the argument (if we call it an argument, discussion?). I believe that when people refer to "gender" they aren't actually talking about any actual physiological state (DNA, having a penis or not, etc.) but rather societal norms and definitions of feminine vs. masculine. So, if someone wants to identify as a female gender, it's more about a persona or an identity of self rather than a "sex"?
Assuming I am correct so far, although I know people will disagree regardless, as this is a divisive topic, I think the issue that really needs to be clarified is this: why do we have male and female categories of sport? I would say that these two categories have nothing to do with notions of "gender", as in how people identify, but rather they are based on physiological differences. So, it's actually not at all about "gender" in sports, but rather a weaker category of physiology vs. a stronger category of physiology. In the past it's been easier to just assign them as male vs. female, but it's clear we've reached an age where we can not use "gender" terms to differentiate between the stronger vs. weaker categories of physiological traits as it creates issues with those who are feel women's sports are about "gender". Unfortunately, I think this means that the two categories need to be renamed and a specific list of qualifying physiological parameters delineated, especially in professional sports.
There you go - there will no longer be male and female sports, there will be Cat A and Cat B. I suppose anyone can choose to compete in Cat A, the superior category, but, they will need to pass some set guidelines to compete in Cat B. If you have testicles, for example, descended or not, you have to compete in Cat A.

When it comes to racing, race is not a category, despite whether or not any of what you wrote applies.

This is amazing to me. Since growing up a poor, black boy I have plenty of poor black friends and ALL of them think Rachel Dolezal is black. The richer and younger (millenials) a black person was, the more likely they were to be upset by her choices.
She/he is not going anywhere. No college is interested.

It is. About 80% of my ancestors are from Africa, but I'm black because I choose to be black. I know people that are part Indian, Jewish, Japanese and Mexican. The differences are superficial.
Gender, on the other hand, is hardwired. And Korean and Kenyan can have a baby, just like two Kenyans can have a baby. A man and another man cannot have a baby because the differences between men and women are natural, not a social construct.
I agree. It used to be that surveys, applications, etc. said "Sex: Male or Female", but at some point in the past couple decades it became more "appropriate" to say "Gender: Male or Female". Then people started using the terms "sex" and "gender" interchangeably. So while sports used to be divided into male and female categories based on biological traits, eventually that was eroded away to now, when they are based more on masculine/feminine traits.
I don't think there was some sort of master plan for this; but as more people became comfortable identifying with a gender that does not match their biological sex, they were permitted to compete in categories based on their gender.

Not joking at all. There are areas of the brain that are different in men and women and heterosexuals and homosexuals: this is pretty well established. Neuroscientists who have studied the brains of transsexuals have also discovered that these regions of their brains more closely resemble that of the gender with which they identify than their gender of birth.
not this guy, but in 2-3 years when a dude is running 22's as a "girl" he will demand a full ride somewhere and thats when it all falls apart. just wait moron idiots like you who say "oh just let it be, its not hurting anyone" and then booooom it blows up big time and there will be no way to stop it
^^This^^
Can't wait until these transgender boys > to> girls suck up all the college Title IX money! Then the feminists will really lose it!
THEY EAT THEIR OWN
lol
So if there is a road race (here in CT) offering $200.00 to the winner of a local 5k road race; I can "identify" as a female and collect some cash? I know the men's side will be too hard to win but as long as I run a low-17, I can accept cash on the women's side? Why have I not thought of this before.

In that case, you may wish to notify the IOC. They have been searching for an infallible gender test like that for decades.

That's easy, just grab the person by the crotch and squeeze hard and then pull down their pants. This isn't rocket science.
