Well of course there are no FtM athletes of consequence. It would be very difficult for someone born female to overcome their body type and be athletically competitive against natural-born males. But the fact that FtM athletes are competing in the male classification proves that not all transgender athletes compete in the "opposite" classification in order to win.
I agree. But the point is that we are not worried about FtM athletes, because they choose to be self-disadvantaged. That's actually a noble choice worthy of utmost respect. But we are worried about the MtF athletes who choose to be self-advantaged.
Athletic contests have always been about inherent fairness, following the rules, respecting your opponents. Without doing those things, while you might continue to stage contests, you will ultimately destroy the sport. PEDs seem to be doing a pretty good job of that right now. And I don't see much difference between an MtF athlete and someone juiced to the gills on PEDs.
