He's going to look amazing in those aerial shot black and white videos. Unfortunately, that also means 13:05 MAX for 5k, and a shelf life of~ 1 Olympic cycle.
NOP like Jenkins did would be interesting to see. Given that Alberto is under fire, probably won't happen. I'd like to see him at BTC.

Pretty sure Mead has run faster than that...
Poor Chez. Seriously.

13:02.80 three years ago. You get my drift. BOMBED in Rio final. Farrell didn't even make the final.
That Mead was in an Olympic final, considering his college career, is astounding.
Where would you have him go?
Ches is BACK baby!

9-10 time Big Ten
8 x all american (4 straight AA in xc)
13:50 as a college freshman
13:28 as a sophomore
That's just off the top of my head. Kid was a legend in Minnesota his senior year of HS, too. Rumor was that he didn't even start running until his junior year. You consider that a poor collegiate career with no Olympic team potential? Otc sure isn't the reason he made an Olympic final! More like, he made the final DESPITE being affiliated with the otc.

Not a single one of those accolades indicate a likelihood to make an OLYMPIC FINAL.

What does his PR have to do with anything? Please explain this.

Acting like 13:02.80 is nothing and saying he got BOMBED at the Olympics is silly, unless he's substantially faster/better which I doubt. He made the Olympics and ran 13:02, that's fast as hell.

Your statement makes even less sense now. His time has nothing to do with how good 13:02 is. Do you really not understand that? For example, I can't run a 10.2 100m, but that certainly is a poor time for a professional 100m runner.
Further, 13:02 would be underachieving for Cheserek. Making only 1 Olympic team would also be underachieving for Cheserek. He stated both of these things. I'm not sure what you are having such a hard time understanding.

I wouldn't be surprised if Alberto wanted to coach that long if the King went to NOP.
I don't think Ches will go far after college simply because his hard racing years have already been adding up.
The collegiate career is a tough one, with multiple meets and doubles even triples on occasions. Those kinds of events wear an athlete out. It's tough to have a long professional career after a long collegiate one. Not impossible but tough.
Plus he is probably a bit older than he says.
