It bothers you that a group of women got together to say that they wanted to watch a movie without men in the theater?
And your concern is that a group of men may want to do this and there will be protests so this is a preemptive protest to that hypothetical protest.

If you want sympathy in a "life is SO unfair" outrage post then your best bet is to wait to post it after 5pm on a Friday or Saturday when the bitter virgins and other lonely losers have the board to themselves. At 9am on a Monday it's not going to get nearly as much sympathy because the majority of people online now will be productive adults with jobs and family/friends/social lives outside LRC.

It does bother me that that privilege is only extended to certain groups without being condemned by society.

How about an all-white college?
Or maybe a Christian wedding cake maker that is allowed to make cakes for weddings they deem legitimate.
Again, don't get me wrong. I realize that white straight Christian (this one is questionable) men probably have it easier in this society than any other demographic. I am not saying "poor them". I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the situation.

Well, it IS illegal for them to do this. In the state of New York, theaters are considered a public location. Access cannot be denied to a public place there based on gender. That's not to mention that it'd be illegal for them to even ask a person's gender before selling a ticket.
