Wish Hawkins hadn't've pulled out due to illness, would've been a great race.
Kipsang out there working on his speed. Hmm. He might produced something out of this world in Berlin.
The WR will be broken this year that is for god damn sure....It's just a matter of who is going to break it Kipchoge, Kipsang...or a healthy Bekele ( I doubt it...I'm not that high on Bekele these days, too unpredictable)

Sad state of affairs that the top two finishers and Americans have a doping history..

Is there a requirement in the tv contracts that they have to cut away to commercial or to another runner when the leader makes his break?

Yes, breakaways are considered pornographic over there.
Go to the site and under "Elite Men and Masses" (which I'm sure you're on), drop down to "Elite Men."
I didn't care to look, but from the times you posted, those are probably wheelchair times. You have to click what you're trying to look for.
Here's the video from the race, men's and women's:
Congrats to Ritz! Led the whole race and blew the doors of Kipsang and Lagat. Looking good!
According to Vent, a 2:03 marathoner should be able to run 26:00 - 26:30 on the track easily. Wait for the ole question "What intrinsic 10k ability must one show for 2:03???"
28:26?! Vent would probably say this shows no better than 2:07 potential and Kipsang is DONE.
