hard to take seriously anyone who has repeatedly denied the massive doping problem in a country with little serious testing yet over 50 doping positives in recent years.

I'm against every kind of generalization. I never denied the doping in Kenya, simply I knew (because we work on the ground) that the level of 90% of Kenyan doped was very low, we knew that the managements were not involved (any management, because if a manager gives some doping to athletes for a real income of about 12% of the final prize, that the most part of times in lower than 5,000 USD, risking to lose the license from Kenyan Athletics Federation, he's not a manager, but an idiot), we knew some specific doctor was involved, especially in Kapsabet, we knew that everybody speaks about EPO but the most part of doping was from anabolic steroids, we knew that the normal medicine in Kenya come from India and other Asian region where there is not the must to certificate the composition, we knew that athletes running marathons in 2:08 or 2:27 in Kenya are like amateurs of high level and don't have professional formation, we knew that the 50 positives are in a field of more than 1000 athletes running everywhere in the world (so it's not fair to consider the number, but we must consider the percentage of doped compared with the number of tests, in competition, that Kenyan have), we knew that the OOC tests really there were in Kenya, but the problem is that were at charge of IAAF or WADA, and AKADA didn't work because the full investment from Kenyan Government in this direction was... 2,000 USD in one year (maybe enough for... 2 or 3 tests !).
And we know that the 99% of the best are clean. And we know where the REAL talent (that posters of LR never met and don't know) can bring an athlete (the last example is Cellphine in steeple).
And we know that there are a lot of people speaking about what they don't know. And we know they not only speak, but seem very sure of accusations about people never met, making general a situation of few cheaters, normally with small brain.
This is what I do, and, in spite of the advice of Coach J.S., I continue to count every day how many idiots, speaking of doping only without any knowledge of the specific athlete, there are.
you are just and idiot an every higschool or college coach in the US could have better results than you training the athletes thta you train or just living in kenya,
just imagine mark wetmore or jerry schumacher doing what you do.
its like taking guardiola and move him to brazil and suddenly there is just 3 soccer coaches there.
you know the diference between them and you?
i think you already know

Kiprop will soon hold the WR anyhow.
Really? After today's performance?
Mate, where have you been? In a few weeks they are scrapping pre-2005 records. Hence Kiprop will soon hold the 1500m record (unless he did insufficient tests prior).
Renato, you cannot know what your athletes and those of others are doing. You cannot look at a distance runner and tell and you cannot follow that runner around 24 hours a day. There are marked financial incentives all over the place for the athletes and for their coaches and agents, it might make the difference between a living or very little. There's a reason a few agents have all the fastest marathoners of all time. Simply put, you cannot say that it is irrational and therefore people do not do it. Just reading this site would tell you that irrationality is no guarantee against foolish words and actions.

So what's your proof they're all doing it? Kisorio, Jeptoo and Sumgong out of a pool of 1000 plus? The myth that Kenyans are not tested OOC has been disproved, especially recently where it turns out Kenyan elites are the most tested in the world. That Kenya has literally hundreds of lower tier runners that would be competitive everywhere else isn't the country's fault.
