FFS, dude. It's by design. They want people using mobile.
Not at all. Looked like he was struggling.
i ran a 1:18 TT in college and i couldnt break 1:54, obviously i didnt have what it took
a 1:20 puts you on pace for what? a 1:46 high? he will need to drop that in the prelims minimum, then a 1:45 low, then 1:44 mid? for the top 3

I guess you can't watch anything live from a desktop? t's a multi billion company and you can't watch a live feed from a desktop? Really?
I pulled it up on my phone and there was a "live" button up top.

I didn't see any "Live" button and missed the stream. Maybe he will post the video. Instagram could easily enable streaming from a web page. They want you to use the app because they can track your location and send you notifications that you are more likely to see since most people carry their mobile devices with them. Its all about data mining. You should know about that, Rojo!

Seems like he's always been able to get into shape pretty quickly in the past. He may not make the team but don't be surprised if he makes the final.
Was it streamed/shot from a drone?

no. it was the worst view ever. Someone just held their phone at the finish and didn't give splits.

Nope.
Also.... the live button was on his IG page, basically it's his lil circle with his profile picture. It pulses when the person is "live"
Lastly, I will say again since it was "deleted", chest R. Was jizzing to hurry up and post his result man geez don't be so butthurt and delete everything, This is what is ruining our soft millennials
Nothing was deleted from anyone - Instagram Live is a function that only displays the video when currently live, to provide an inside scoop. Majority of Instagram functions are only available on mobile, because its use is intended for a mobile audience. That's where all content is posted from - a mobile device with camera function. That is the intended use. How quick you peeps are to also search for the controversy. Cheers to Nick for being transparent enough with his fans to actually even provide the opportunity for fans to see his fitness, knowing it's not where he would like it to be. How about we focus on that..

On the subject of 600s, does anyone have an opinion of an untrained 13 year old who runs 600m in 1:34 around a dirt field in training shoes? General Phys Ed class does time trials every two weeks, alternating between mile and 600. What kind of potential does that time possibly indicate? Distance was carefully marked with a wheel, been in use many years.
All of these posters say he won't make it past the semis and my understanding is that he has to QUALIFY FOR USAS FIRST. That alone will require him to tack on a 27 to that mess of a time trial. I do think he can do it but the task involves having good enough conditions and the right race. He has very few weeks to find the fitness and then a meet...

I believe he can use his best time within the past year. If so he already has the qualifier.
Kid is the next Rudisha.
If you are really untrained, this is good. Even if you have some indirect training through another sport or something this is still decent. Shows some possible potential to run fast times. Does your school have a track team? If so, definitely join it if you like running. What have you run in the mile?
Dude, you have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about so chill. I posted on thread earlier and it was deleted.
I know how Instagram works you just read my post wrong, just like you spelled millennial wrong but that's not a surprise. Funny guy thanks for the amusement

I'm an old guy. I'm talking about a kid at the local Junior High School where I volunteer helping the coach. The coach was a former football player and sprinter. The kid has also run 5:18 for the mile. He is also very quick and agile and good at several sports, but he is kind of small.

A few packs of Run Gum and he'll hammer down a 25 sec last 200 on to that 1:20.6!!!
Jesus H. Christ!!!.......This dude has lost his marbles. How about a Pay Per View race of Symmonds vs. Wheating ??????? This will pull more cash than Mayweather vs. Mcgregor in Oregon. They can call it "The Battle of The Has-Beens".
Time to Hang 'em up.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
