Yesterday's time would have won her that 2015 race...Going into worlds, and if she decides to double again, and run the 5000m race, wouldn't it be smart to just use Ayana as a pacer up until the last lap or 2 to beat her?
If she plays it more mental than physical, I think she can win the double at Worlds
You're talking as if this was a PB for Dibaba..did you not know that she actually ran 14:15 beating Ayana the same year before world champs in 2015?
Correct, before Ayana took over at 5000 meters with her strategy. 14:15 ain't happening again, especially if she doubles during Worlds like she did in 2015. So the question again, instead of trying to front run, like she usually does, wouldn't it be best to use Ayana as pacer.
One thing about tirunesh and Bekele is they were and are true sit and kick Ethiopians. Genzebe thinks her speed will carry her all throughout the race, and will frontrun. She failed at in the Olympics and failed at in the 2015 WC.. In The WC, she led in the first half of the race, and Ayana took over in the second half, and Genzebe had nothing to keep up with her or track her down. I just think she loses big races that she should win because she gets it wrong tactically.
