There we go. Is that the guy who might finally take down Farah? Farah won't want to let it go slow if he's racing that guy.

Don't worry, like most Kenyans in mid distance events he'll choke when it matters most. Kenyans are good time trialers but horrible at tactics.

Murphy 3:51.99

Murphy is on his way at 1500 as well. A guy who's subjected to constant out of season testing do this well against a bunch of guys who...well, they know well in advance when they'll be tested because they aren't tested out of competition. Har.
On the more serious side, Centro is probably realizing this is his last season of being (maybe) able to handle Murphy at 1500. Murph is only 22 and is way behind in terms of hard training /mileage in comparison to most of the US's (and most other) top 1500 guys. Murphy well under 3:50 in the mile next year, and he will break 1:42 in the 800 at some point in his career as well.
Top American miler runs just as "fast" as some no name from Brazil did in the B heat. What a joke.

nothing to see here.
Miller is no threat to Thompson in the 200 come championship but the way she spanked Felix there makes her look pretty good once she's back to her real event
Felix is at the end of her career. She is 31. Miller is 23 and isnt even in her prime, so she is just naturally on a higher level. Also, older runners peak a lot later in the season so that they can be at their best when it matters.
It's like Gatlin who just ran a 9:98, his best of the season so far. Even though he came in fifth...He is just stringing along until it matters. By July, he should be in 9.88 form.
I really hope Kwemoi goes for the 1500 WR in Monaco. He has looked so effortless winning here and in the 3k in Doha. He can definatly put up something in the 3:27s, probably a 3:26, and maybe even a 3:25.

Both Jenny and Shannon beaten by 2 other Americans? Wow. They should both move up to 5k permanently. The 800 specialists have taken over. With Molly no longer a threat at that distance, I bet these 2 could continue their rivalry there.
Jenny lost to Brenda and Kate Grace, two really good runners... She also just beat Brenda and Kate last month. I think she is okay to race the 1500 still.
Yeah, NBC told us about his 7th place finish due to his great third lap kick. Murphy did not merit a mention. Also, they knew not to even bother showing those guys finish. Just show the top 3 shaking hands.Maybe some day they will invent technology to show the place and time along the bottom of the screen as all runners finish..

Good run from Blankenship, even though he didn't win... Good run by Murphy, too!!!
Kiprop looks done.

True. Probably just a bad day for Jenny. Shannon though has either been off the juice or just the victim of age. (32yo for a miler is a rare). Her 2017 has been very mediocre by her standards.

true true
Kwemoi just ran 3:49.04 and you think he's in 3:25-26 shape?
If he runs somewhere in the neighborhood of 3:43-45, I'd say speculation is in order. Or, maybe an actual sub 3:28 1500m.
Jenny may have lost to two Americans but the important thing is that she beat Rowbury. Was Rowbury drafting off of her as usual?
J/k, but this was solid improvement from Rowbury after last week. I'd like to see all four of them Martinez, Grace, Simpson, and Rowbury in sub 4 shape by July.
If you take NJNY track club's best 3 from their 4xmile record performance against the three ingebrigsten brothers who would win 3 v 3? Starting to seem like the 3 brothers from one family could top 3 of NJNY's best if it's a 3 person relay.
No one could ever run 349 clean.
And Murphys slow progression to this level proves he's clean. He did not just come out of the blue.
These Kenyans are genetically inferior, have no running tradition, and no concept of how to train (hard running in dirt at altitude? Cmon. Never can run as fast as someone training in Akron unless you cheat).
Wish all the cheaters would just quit so the Americans could be rewarded properly.
rather than winning every inconsequential race and then flunking the champs, Kiprop is doing it in reverse this year.
Lame meet. Overhyped as usual. Ben Blankenship a clown. 3 skinny Kenyans win the mile with "meh" times. Men sweep the Women's 800. Got some nice views of Elaine Thompson's a$$ at the start line of the 200.
