Can't wait to see Rowbury shadow Jenny for 1400 meters!
They are making fun of the rabbit for having her own watch? Do the announcers not get why she has her own watch.
Mecke should be fired. She's supposd to run 64 and she's 20 meters ahead one lap in.
AWFUL.

No the pacer did her job...They didn't follow. The pacer went out on the proper time. They made it a 400 meter race
Simpson beaten by two Americans!
Still zero top 5 finishers for American distance 👎ðŸ½
Can Murphy break the streak? I say no

Great stat. Does that count heats?

I think a lot of pacers are worried about not getting to the front. Mecke basically sprinted off the line.
Would be much better for her to go out with the field and then gradually make her way around the front during the first 100m. That way they don't have to bridge a gap just to stay with her.
A lot of the time when the field "doesn't go with the rabbit", it's the rabbit's fault, and in the first 50m. That was certainly true here.
man...Faith has mastered this distance. She looks strong...Dibaba might not win the 1500 at worlds either. so 1500 and 5000 are not locks for her.
Things are going to be really, really interesting leading up to Worlds. Will Dibaba run a 1500 in the DL before Worlds? Obiri looking strong too..out there working on her speed for 5000 meters.

Just an early race observation. I didn't say she should be fired like Rojo did. I agree with you that they didn't follow her.

The went out fairly slow
Kate Grace definitely went for, Martinez caught her in last 10 meters, both at 4:03
Rowbury didn't look too good, but she might not be that sharp at all, Houlihan a solid 4:06
And Laura Muir proving, once again, to be the great white hype.
Not sure this is fair. Kipyogen is excellent and is for sure the favourite and I assume Dibaba will run the 1500 too in London. Muir's effort wasn't quite as good as she is capable of, perhaps her hayfever was an issue -- London WC is going to be good.
