100% false. It was a sub 4 mile, that is beyond contestation. To count for records you need to meet those standards, not the same thing at all.

If he were E. African he could claim to be 12. And the LR regulars would believe it.
Jakob is now the high school GOAT MILER. I see Alan Webb's 3:53 being threatened. I also see a sub 3:50 mile in this young mans future. Great Run!

I wonder just how talented this kid is? Do you think it's a case that he has similar or only marginally better potential to his brothers, but with their experience and guidance he's getting there a little quicker than they did?
Of course as Henrik has ran 3:33 and 3:50 then even only a marginal improvement from Jakob could lead to medals.
What do people think he might do in Tokyo, or will 2020 (still only 19) be a little too early for him?

Wasn't kejelcha 17 years old when he ran 12:53 for 5000m? There has to be a record of him running a 1500m or mile at 15years old just crushing 4minutes.
Which is the equivalent of about 3:45/46 for the mile.
Mind you there is no way he is as young as he claims.

Henrik has a 3:31 PR and Filip has a 3:32 PR! Jakob started training earlier than Henrik and Filip, and thus he is better at a younger age.

The 1500 is flat out stupid. 3 and 3/4 lap? What the hell is that? Just stupid.

Remember also that in Norway they use metric time, with 100 seconds in a mimute and 100 minutes in an hour. So none of this 'youngest 4 min miler in history' will mean a thing over there. He'll probably still be kneedeep in punani when he gets back home though.
Sub 3:50 indeed.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
