The question is for anyone knowledgable on the sport. I have been hurt since April and started running the first week of August and am up to 35 miles this week. My coach wants me to race this fall but I am VERY injury prone (never been over 60 miles a week) and feel if I start racing off such low mileage (less than 200 total) I will get hurt. Thing is, with me, the team might have a shot at Conf title and without me (or anyone else in the top 5) we are looking at 4th on a good day. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before?
PS I can red shirt because I have a 5th year for Spring track already...Im in my 3rd year of school now.
