Remember when Kara Goucher was somewhat ostracized for speaking out against Salazar and the NOP? Though I'm sure she would receive no joy in watching runners lose their medals, I hope she would at least feel a little vindicated.
If the assumption that anyone associated with Salazer is tainted, then that certainly applies to Kara Goucher. If you're talking her feeling vindicated by runners losing medals, I don't think losing hers would be a vindication.
Yes, all are tainted to some degree. Any athlete that has joined ranks with Alberto in the last couple of years has to have known 100% that they are "going to the gray zone".
I'm actually more angry/disappointed with Dr Brown than I even am with Alberto in all this however. There always has to be a very corrupt doctor at the heart of these scandals in order to obtain and distribute all these substances. Of course Alberto playing doctor is probably just as bad.

Absolutely. I wouldn't go anywhere near him.
Agreed, yet top runners continue to sign with Salazar. It really shocked that Eric Jenkins chose the NOP after this story broke.
The way you worded the question?
NO
"Anyone associated"?? c'mon.
So it's impossible for a clean athlete to have ever been associated in any way with Alberto? Don't sensationalize.
Even if I thought the majority of highest performers had crossed the line (which i don't know if i do yet), I would not rule out that it's possible for someone at some point in history to be associated with him and actually not be a cheater.
YES
Did you think this, "they are all tainted" before Letsrun published this particular report or did you not think they were tainted before reading the report? Did reading the report change your mind about this subject? I don't think any of us read this thing and came away with any different opinions of NOP and its athletes that we did before reading it.
Exactly. It's anyone's own business as to whom they sign with and have for a coach. But I don't feel bad for any athlete, clean or not, who stays with NOP and is accused of being a drug cheat.
It is imperative to understand that Salazar and his crew are nothing short of precise epitome of fraudulent personalities driven by greed, fame and, complete lack of honesty of the allegations are true! which it seems to contain some pattern.
Till last week, I'd have voted no.
After I read the report for myself: YES.
NO......Letsrun.com bias attack in the real crime
The one Marathon powerhouse that has never had anyone get busted for doping is Japan. I'd like to believe Suguru Osako is clean. Death before dishonor is the samurai way. The though of cheating doesn't cross a Japanese mind. Of course, never has a Japanese athlete trained under Salazar until now.

Its becoming clearer and clearer that Salazar is a dirty man and so are his athletes. Vote on it. Agree or disagree? No Nike shills allowed.
I vote yes. You would have to suspend common sense to believe otherwise.
even with a lot of technology+drugs+money, Rupp still cant run sub 2.09 for marathon...what a shame...
I've never understood why Alberto or anyone he's coached would be considered clean. He's been dirty since his Athletics West days. He has proven time and time again he'd do anything and everything legal and illegal to cheat. Any athlete choosing him as a coach knew exactly what they were getting into.
In a perfect world, every athlete associated with him would have all medals, records and prize money taken away.
Innocent until proven guilty, folks. Each individual has his/her own interaction and history with Salazar. It is ridiculous and utterly unjust to try, indict, and convict based on association only.

That's what I thought until this draft report leaked. Before that, I was thinking/hoping that Salazar would only dope his A runners like Mo, Galen, Centro and Kara, to name a few.
Now we learned that he apparently also used Prohibited Methods on Alvina and Lindsay, etc. Sigh.

People who are associated with Salazar would include the kid who mows his lawn and relatives he sees once a year. Don't really see why such individuals would be "tainted," whatever that means.
Believe me, they've all had a taste of AlSal's special sauce. No one is safe under the tyranny of Saladbar!!
If you're a clean athlete, I can't think of a single reason you'd associate with a guy that's been a known cheat since the '80s.
Athletics, especially in this day and age, is already essentially guilty until proven innocent from a fan perspective. Just look at this board. Those are simply the breaks in a world with how many medal-winning athletes in multiple sports having been found guilty of cheating. Associating with a guy that's cheated for well over 30 years is insane if you're clean.

I applaud the do-whatever-it-takes-without-explicitly-violating-WADA-rules approach. Pushing the envelope -- that's how things work at the top of any profession.

WTF is wrong with all you Letrunners?! "Highly likely Galen Rupp received an L-Carnitine infusion in excess of 50 mL." This sounds like Deflategate, "more likely than not" - which in both cases means, "we've looked everywhere and have nothing."
And all over L-Carnitine?!?!?!? This is a total waste of time - wake me up when EPO or actual steriods are involved....
