He's at the ABC recovering after reaching the summit.
At 12h15 local time of may 22nd he is back in the Advanced Base Camp (6,500m) where he confirmed summiting Everest at midnight, 26 hours after beginning the ascent.
How do we know he really got there? I'm waiting for the upload to strava.

Ok then this Jornet is a total idiot and exudes hubris just like that other idiot Steck that died. That article says he also carried no oxygen. Total moron just asking to die.
Please document the cases where somebody died on Everest because they didn't cheat and use bottled oxygen.

Actually that's a good point. Jornet better have been wearing at least a GPS watch or a tracker because I'm not accepting his "midnight" as an actual record of if he even made it to the top. It would have been pitch black and there are no eye witnesses either or even his team saying they saw him at the top through a telescope. He could just be lying and say he made it to the top at midnight when in reality he was just stumbling around for a lot longer because of the lack of oxygen.

Just look at all the human corpses on Everest.

I'm here. Been tracking KJ covertly, can confirm summit of Everest. As a result, I have also summitted. Been quite a year going from Western USA to Land's End to top of Everest.

Do you know that Salomon is funding the whole thing? You think he is really with no support? Expect some You Tube vids soon, and some proof he really went up there....

Hey, only 6 climbers have dies so far this season.
Would be interesting to find out if the few who don't carry oxygen are any more or less likely to die than those who do. Those who don't tend to be fitter.
Jornet is back and fine except for some stomach issues. Not sure yet if he got the record.

I saw you there but you did not summit.
I've been sitting here at the summit all day in my oxygen pressure adjusted Yeti suit staying warm and laughing at everyone who summits as I jump up and yell Rooooaaaarrrr!!!
Only five died last year.
