Money No Problem and Scotty 2Hoddy ran faster than Bosworth's best at Paul Short. Name a better duo that doesn't go to Amherst. I'll wait.
The ground isn't completely barren.
NESCACs are a week away, heres my prediction for the meet:
Individual Title:
-Cosmo,Mo, and Ricciardelli all from Amherst look to be contenders for the individual title, but due to Mo's experience racing at the top of the fields longer than the other two, I'd have to give the edge to Mo. However, all three are racing very well, and any of them could feasibly take the title.
-Torda from Bowdoin has been racing very well, and I expect him to finish top 3, and perhaps if the race goes out tactically, Torda to pull out the win.
-Danny and Scott from Connecticut college look to be front runners, but don't seem to have the extra grit to be able to pull out a victory. I predict a top 10 finish from these two
Dark Horses: Expect McAlister from Trinity to be up in the front, but unsure whether he can compete at the very top, but could come through with a very convincing race and perhaps finish top 5. Magin from Bates is also racing on his home course, and therefore could have something up his sleeve. That being said, my predictions for top 10 are:
1. Mo
2. Torda
3. Cosmo
4. Simpson
5. Ricciardelli
6. Scott
7. McAlister
8. Aschdale
9. Magin
10. DeWeirdt
Team Results:
1. Amherst: Too strong of a 1-3, should be very hard to beat this team
2. Williams: Look strong, although not as strong as previous years
3. Middlebury: extremely tight 1-5 spread, but no front runner
4. Bates: rumors are they tempo'd vs. Bowdoin at the Maine state meet, expect them to come out strong on their home course
5. Conn College: Very strong 1-2, but too huge of a drop off in 3-4-5 to be a serious contender
6. Tufts: Weaker form of Middlebury
7. Bowdoin: meh
8. Colby
9. Trinity
10. Hamilton
11. Wesleyan
As we've seen over the last few weeks, Amherst trio has been pretty interchangeable and unstoppable. They should all be in the Top 10 and potentially all First Team NESCAC (Top 7 ). I think it would be great to see Mo rise up once more and re-claim his title.
Torda of Bowdoin is good, but I can't see a runner-up finish. He won an early season home meet to kick off the season, ran 25:54 at Opens (25:49 in 2015) to be 4th Overall DIII runner behind 3 MIT runners, and is most recently coming off a strong Maine State victory. He seems to be in solid form and I'm sure Bowdoin has been frequenting Pinelands, but I say 5th - 10th.
The Connecticut duo appears to also be strong, but no match for the trio / duo of Amherst frontrunners. Though Mason's time at their home meet last weekend was quite solid considering the wet conditions. He and Aschale should find themselves in the mix for Top 5.
I would also not count the Williams trio of Anderson, Simpson, Decker. I'm not sure what's been up with the Ephs over the last few weeks, as no one has really risen to the top. Though all three of the previously mentioned are very strong runners and could come to life at one the biggest meets of the season.

1. ABSURD ranking on Tuft's behalf... my grandsons are ready to race. Word is Tufts has been resting some of their best runners all season. Nico Agosti '19 has show strong performances in the 400 m in 2016 and has yet to be raced this season.... Should be a lot of surprises out there Saturday to say the least.
Teams
1. Amherst
2. Williams
3. Midd
Amherst should pull it out with their top 4, but that depth at 5 could hurt them in a larger field. Could open the door for an upset but Williams would have to make a leap (esp Decker). Aside from Simpson their top guns got blasted at Little 3's.
Individuals
1. Ricciardelli
2. Simpson
3. Hussein
4. Torda
5. Aschale
6. Brossy
7. Mason
8. Decker
9. Anderson
10. Meijer (amherst)
Clark the shark is most likely to win, and also most likely to be punched mid-race by an opposing fan.

First men's team title for Amherst. Williams over Middlebury for the women.
Amherst looking solid. Rough one for the Williams guys--injuries? No Decker or Anderson in there.

Observations from the NESCAC Championship:
Amherst was very impressive with the win.
Middlebury, Bates, and Conn College had excellent performances.
Williams was disappointing in 5th (but were missing a couple top guys).
Bates captured the T-Bear from Williams.
So let me get this straight-- FIVE Luke Maher coached runners placed within the top five.... damn.
The dude knows what he's doing. He coached Conn to its lowest ever point total at NESCACs. Expect great things from this program in the future.
Congrats to new Amherst Coach Ruben! Glad the committee recognized the school finally having a real coach behind the wheel capable of steering this talented team to their potential. #mamouths
I knew Ned was a bad coach - I didn’t realize he was THAT bad.
Yawn, Amherst is going to choke again and nationals, and Williams will resume their spot as top NESCAC finisher
Williams has to qualify for Nationals first...

This was a great trolling attempt! If you think Rubin (not Ruben) does any of the distance/XC coaching, you probably go/went to Williams. This bloke is merely tooling around with Ned's already developed talent: i.e. see Mo's 2015 XC season.
Also, it's Mammoths, not mamouths. Your poor spelling is also suggestive of a Williams education.
Are you an A1-covered steak? Because consider yourself a salty [purple] cow.
Congrats to Amherst, MIddlebury, Bates, and Conn College!
