Did Conn College hire someone?

Good analysis above. I think this year will eerily follow that of 2015, with Williams and Amherst battling it out for that top spot. It's too close on paper at this point to pick a definitive favorite.
I'm pretty comfortable picking Williams as the favorite.
"Less than ideal" is totally subjective when discussing recruits' first impressions. As a high school senior I was totally turned off by Slovenski (Bowdoin) and Farwell (Williams), both of whom are legendary, beloved coaches with phenomenal resumes. I ended up getting to know Farwell pretty well over the years and realize I would have loved running for him (I know, I know, a huge "duh" moment for any D-III runner).
Anyway, I hope Conn is able to rebound and get back...they've had the front runners in the past, but haven't seemed to develop the mid-pack frosh much over 4 years.
I ran for Conn and know the new coach pretty well. Before he started, I was confident he would do a great job with he program, and from what I've seen and heard, he has so far. Jimmy B was great, and Luke seems to be off to s great start.
Thanks Ben
how about the point park pioneers? gonna be a tough team to beat this year!

Bates wins handily, looks like James jones is out for the season, Bates does not look as strong without James.
Tufts "tempoed" first 3 apparently, so its unclear what the outcome would have been, though my money is still on bates.
They also annihilated Colby at that little 6k race they have, Bates looks ready to win State of Maine, and may be a half decent contender at NESCACS especially because nescacs is at their home course this year

You bet we tempoed the first 3 miles! My son and his friends have their long term goals set - our only goal is to be ready for NATIONALS. With such a potential to shine on the national stage, we want to make sure we are fresh and ready to go in November.
Tufts has always had its priorities in order. Last year we sat back all season while the rest of the NESCAC tired each other out every weekend. If we had raced at nationals we would have CRUSHED the competition.
Thanks to their new coach's stellar training regime, the Lord Jeffs had great hurdle form in their race last weekend.
Who are the Lord Jeffs?

No, I meant the Lord Jeffs... #MAGA
Looks like things are closer than what most thought, with Middlebury looking stronger at this point in the season than Williams.
Was the race a 9k?
Go nkrc!
No Cosmo for Amherst? Concerning if he's out, especially since their top 4 looked great but their 5th was way back.
Did the Genny boys do their 400m pickups? Asking for a friend.
looked like just 100s this year. Heard it here first: genny boys are DONE. No way they make it through an xc season on those puny intervals.
Looks like we've regressed back to an all-Connecticut battle for the last three spots. Without semi-elite 800 runner Ben Bosworth that state is barren ground. Hoagie at least made Trin a likeable sort of shitty, and how does Wesleyan regress so far in two years?
Word on the street-Williams and Amherst are going to apply to swap Midd into the L3 so that the Connecticut schools can have an in-state circle jerk to mediocrity. Tufts Dad is being flown in to watch.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
