It could be a component of a PED mix, as per the statement I quoted from the USADA website. And again, why no TUE? Why no checking the prescription against the banned list?

No idea much like you have no idea of the "component of a PED mix" which would likely have little to no affect with a woman.
Clomid?

Once again, here is what USADA says on its website: "Clomiphene has also appeared as an undeclared ingredient in black market products sold on the internet for performance-enhancing use." That's what I meant by "a component of a PED mix." There is no reason to assume that all components of a PED mix will actually increase performance, or that they are always tailored for use by one gender only. Finally, if Clomid has no role in PEDs for women, then why is it banned for women?
But sure, keep trying to excuse a positive drug test by a top female thrower, and don't worry that the "explanation" involves a very experienced athlete failing to check a prescribed medication against the banned list or get a TUE. That's like believing in a bunch of gold plates that get translated by a talking hat and then conveniently misplaced.
i'm not trying to excuse anything ya drug nazi bastid. she was given an appropriate sentence for a drug which, by other research, appears to be of little PED value to a woman.

How does Clomid assist a woman athlete other than to essentially make eggs?
Technically, clomid assists with stimulating the ovaries to release several eggs in one month. Females are born with all their eggs, many of which (but not all) will mature and be released.
Men who used clomid are definitely using it as a PED.
The clean elites I know would not TOUCH anything on the drug ban list, especially in an Olympic year. Nor would they try to get pregnant the year they are trying to make the Olympic team.
Why, exactly, am I a "drug nazi bastid"? In responding, you may wish to keep in mind that I did not question the length of Camarena-William's suspension, nor did I advocate for any additional sanctions. Instead, I merely asked some questions about the explanation she offered for the positive test, questions that you admitted you had no answer for.
More broadly, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that track and field has historically been too lax when it comes to PEDs. But it appears you think that we should be even more relaxed about positive drug tests (at least when it comes to your friend/former teammate?), which is an, um, "interesting" point of view.
