Wow. Lelisa getting lapped. What an embarrassment.

Is there any reason at all for Lelisa to have kept going this whole time?

Does anyone else feel like this could diminish the value of real marathons? Once we've seen sub-2:00 in perfectly set up conditions, who cares about seeing 2:02 on a traditional course? This will be the marathon performance by which all other marathon performances are judged.
Speaking of perfectly set up conditions, since this event seems to be a success, I wonder if Nike will consider setting up WRs on track distances. Like if they could hire a dozen tall runners to create a wind shield to take Kiprop through 1200m at 2:30.
Nah. All things considered, this is a pretty boring "race" to watch. Speed alone does not necessarily make a great race.
crazy to think that 2 places separated kip from lelisa in the Olympics but a full mile or more separate them in this speed.
1:40:45-46 couldn't quite see.

1:40:41 is the time for that if he's on pace.

Desisa probably gets a payment for finishing.
PANIC PANIC PANIC
+ 5 seconds - will they pick it up or ..?!?
18 minutes left, and he's still on pace......I'm a bit shocked....
Kipchoge lasting this long is phenomenal by itself. It's all mental these last few minutes...
I'll be back I'm going to go buy some half tights.
He sure looks good.
Pacers need to pick it up. Where is the green laser?
6 seconds off pace.
