Of all the things we could change in the track world, Rojo wants to tackle this one.
If they had just dumped the ashes in their no one would have known, right? How much space do they take up?
What about just releasing them on the infield? Same thing.
I'm sure there are ashes spread all over tons of football stadiums in America without people knowing.
This whole thing is a bit weird and I'm surprised Robert wants it done but this is weirder. Watch the video. They dump his ashes with a porto john visible in the background and then say "don't step on him".
OK, Wejo, I have to wonder if you and Rojo are just stoking the fires to get message board activity up. I also wonder why, after an Ivy league degree in which you surely had to do lots of writing, you cannot choose the correct version or there, they're, or their. Are you trolling us for laughs?
My serious response: I've seen ashes post-cremation. There are bits of bone and maybe even fingernail that can be spotted. I don't know if they take out tooth fillings or not. I can imagine a jumper landing in a pit, seeing a little fleck of bone, and saying "that's a piece of that dead fan - gross!".
Secondly, if Rojo were a horizontal jumper, not a distance runner, he would be dead-set against this idea (like what I did there?).
