16-year old Brogan MacDougall just smoked everyone in the 5000 and won the Penn Relays title in 16:06.75!

Steve Boyd's troll nemesis will be here shortly.

Well that's embarrassing.
-
She should immediately sign with NIKE and move to OR and join NOP.
-
What JoJo said. In a couple of years, she'll have curves and slow down.

Didn't happen to Mary Cain and other local regional, national speedsters. -

Mmmmm Crystal Bacon.... -
Nice running, Bro!
Based on the name was curious why it was a story. Didn't realize her gender. -
Great race. Congrats to athlete and coach.
-

She did this while sick? That is quite impressive. What was the illness? -

Which part do you think didn't happen to MC? -
I don't know about "smoked"...more like won by 2 seconds.
-
That is a cool name... From the thread title, I thought Brogan was a guys name, so I was guessing he was a kid that just won some sort of relatively slow/tactical 5K HS boys race.
Her email inbox is about to be stuffed with "introductions" from D1 coaches. -
Eh, Grace Ping might have won too.
-
Impressive but does it mean anything? She probably is or will over train and never be heard of as an adult.

A brogan is actually a heavy, ankle high shoe. Canucks should stick with hockey players or beer brands when naming their kids. -
Her sister, Branna, is a pretty good runner herself. Currently a freshman at Iowa State I believe.

A lot of Americans are named Richard and we all know how that turns out. A 16:06 by a 16 year high school runner in a race with university age runners is very good.
