Monday Cruise Intervals. Crappy treadmill. 4x2k @ 5:52, 5:48, 5:46, 5:44 pace respectively. 1min rest. + 4x60m strides and lifting.
Tuesday 7.4 miles easy @ 7:30 pace
Wednesday 5.1 miles easy @ 7:21 pace
Thursday Failed Cutdown workout. Bad weather so I was on the treadmill.
Mile, 1200m, 2x800m, then I cut the workout there. 5:21, 3:50, 2:30, 2:30. 2min rest.
Friday 7 miles easy @ 7:25 pace + Lifting
Saturday Off. Busy
Week total: 42.5 miles
On paper this week is pretty unimpressive. The cruise intervals were okay, glad to get the work in. The cut down was done before work only about an hour after I woke up, and I was just tired and generally un-enthused going into this workout. I felt like crap on the 1200m rep and I decided to hold out and see if it got better, but alas, it did not, so I cut it after the 800m reps. Still got almost 3 miles of aerobic quality in, and it wasn't worth me digging myself into a hole on an off day to finish the workout. Just moving on.
Took Saturday off because I was out of town and busy, and I usually take one every couple weeks anyways, so it worked out.
