7 from 40,000 seems too few. Maybe some have already been disqualified?

I make it 14 runners without a halfway split, of which maybe half look to be innocent. There's also a further six with ridiculous negative splits, who have clearly cut the course. So that makes somewhere in the region of 13 blatant cheaters based off the live results. I'm sure there will be a few more if you were to break down everyone's 5k splits, but we'll leave that to the real Derek Murphy.
With those kind of finishing times, who really cares? I mean seriously, does anyone really care? I know I don't, and I'm guessing I'm not alone. If they aren't taking home awards or perhaps a BQ, then why worry about it? People cheat at work, play and in competition. If a guy at the office isn't passing off your work as his own, somebody is cutting the line at the fast food drive through or movie theater ticket line. If that isn't enough somebody else is running the first and last mile of a marathon. There's bigger fish to fry in this world.

Catfish? Tuna? Swordfish?

Derek, Derek Murphy does. He won't stop until they are named, shamed, banned from running any race anywhere , jobless, penniless and their families abandon them on an ice flow.
Then and only then will Derek say that they got justice.
That does seem to be his end-goal.

No. Sixteen Candles - Long Duck Dong!
This is by far not the worst thing this scumbag has done. Just google the name and see how proud he must be of this achievement as opposed to seriously assualting a young woman.

That James Marjoram is sick and clearly a physical danger to people. That suspended jail sentence was not anywhere near serious enough and a great perversion of justice and for almost killing a girl by beating her up. Create a thread especially for this sicko so we can put him as a poor excuse for a human being and a cheat.

My buddy said he was contacted on Facebook by a guy I can only assume was him. He said that he was currently under investigation for cheating at the XYZ marathon and that he needed to provide GPS evidence of his time. Basically, my friend told him to f*** off. He then proceeded to post on his running club's FB page too asking if anyone knew him.
Are you sure it was him? That doesn't sound like his m.o.
Btw, I think he's doing the running world a service.
Good news is not all Brits who run are cheats...

That's not cool at all. But wouldn't surprise me if someone wanted to "protect the integrity" of some race they can't run.
British people are literally the most dishonest cheaters on the planet.

Oh, come on now. Even I wouldn't say that. Americans are much worse with Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump.....
Unless im mistaken I think Wang may have massively broke the 10000m world record between 20 and 30k which surely deserves some media attention. http://www.runpix3.com/arace11/50/mp.php?id=40421&dt=42&hm=lon17&ev=lon17
It's our marathon and we'll cheat if we want to.
I have no credit giving credit where it is due, but please tell me, how is that heroic, aka a hero? That word is used far too often when it doesn't apply. Walking in with someone in a race is not heroic.

you mean you have no problem giving credit where credit is due

I'm considering running the London Marathon next year just to meet Kate Middleton. Her hair is amazing.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
