Has anyone tweeted at Cas?
Here's an example of a previous Beast saying he's no longer on the Beasts:

Absolutely true that the decision was about group cohesiveness and the extra curricurlars. Anyone who says anything different is just covering their tracks.
Wow, Loxsom has switched clubs and events to the Discus? That's amazing. He did so well at the World Relays.

Loxsom also doesn't appear on the team web site roster.
Discus.

- I figured that they wanted to add Canadians
Your post, and the post prior, both had me laughing out loud.
Me as well.

Why would Cas not be able to date another woman on the team? Is this grade school? I am sure he will go back and train under Gondak at Penn State. Wonder how much other support gets pulled though? Really surprised they didn't make it work out after such a great indoor season!
What is Angela Bizzarri up to these days. I assume her contract wasn't renewed last year. Did she retire or still running? Always liked her.
Led Zeppelin will not be getting back together, but you can still play Kashmir on your 8-track tape player.
I commented on the other bashing of Brooks athletes and coaches thread.
Why do you people need to attack these people? What did they ever do to you?
Cas Loxom is a great guy. So is Danny Mackey. Whatever happened does not change any of our lives. Quit trying to act important and let these people lead their own lives.
Good luck Beasts. Good luck Cas.
Don't you know letsrun.com is just an outlet for frustrated runners who will never come close to elite, sub-elite, or similar running status, so the best way to achieve some kind of self glory is to bash runners 100 times more talented. I wouldn't take it too personal though.

Totally with you man. Seems immature to even discuss this stuff publically. Who cares?? That said, the face farting stuff, that I've seen first hand, is weird as all get out

He did not set a real WR. He ran an INDOOR record for an obscure distance. There are 100 guys in the world who could run faster than what he ran. Also I remember Nick Symmonds said that Cas Loxsom can run 20.X, but I saw him run at an all-comers meet last summer and his FAT time was 22.X.
The indoor 600 is not an obscure event. It is a standard event in most NCAA conference championships and run routinely at Millrose, Armory and USATF indoor meets. The 300, 500, (outdoor 600), 1000 and 2000 are much more "obscure" events. I would put the indoor 600 close to (but not quite) on par with the outdoor 3000 in that it is a regularly contested but non Olympic event.
The indoor 600 is similar to track cycling, highly technical and tactical. Loxsom has done it better than anyone else in the history of the world. Maybe Rudisha or Amos could do it faster in the right conditions but Rudisha might have trouble maintaining speed through six tight turns and Amos is so wild he would likely run 630 meters gun to tape.
Whatever happened between Brooks and Loxsom is between them. Give Loxsom his due for a worthwhile achievement. Whatever you think 100 imaginary men could do, they simply haven't.

Because this kind of thing can tear apart a team. Like with Mammoth TC when Cragg was dating Uceny, then switched to Hastings (or vice versa). As you can imagine it didn't exactly foster camaraderie. Hastings, I think, was eventually forced to leave. Also, in the regular workplace you there are employers who don't allow married people to simultaneously work there for the same reason -- personal stuff can spill over and negatively affect the workplace.

He sent a world record indoors; how could he have been cut. That being said, it would show Brooks Beasts are no longer just the nice guys in sponsorship. Tough like Nike.
This is good for him. No more Mr. 600 meters.

*As long as he finds a coach who makes him drop 10lbs running mile repeats and long tempos.

The Beasts just signed a big class last year through 2020. Cas ran great indoors, looked great at World Relays, he's still coached by Danny.
So it is some other reason Brooks dropped him, and it was serious enough for a key athlete to lose their contract without the athlete being able to fight it legally.
I wouldn't say great. I mean he set the indoor 600m WR, but then lost the indoor national title. I honestly think that Danny is just too green to be the head coach of a sponsored club team. Wright had no shot at the Olympic team, Symmonds got badly injured in the lead up to the trials, and Cas has yet to win a national title. The guy isn't terrible, but I think someone else should have been tapped to be the Beasts head coach with Mackey as assistant for awhile
Ooh I would love to see Cas start training with Isaiah Harris at PSU under Gondak again!
