Here's the tweet.
Gaming is not even remotely "sport." Ridiculous.
I'm not really a Goucher fan but I completely agree with her.
Video games are as legitimate a sport as running in circles.
They should probably have their own championship though rather than piggyback on the Olympics. The Olympics are too bloated as it is.
"An activity involving PHYSICAL EXERTION"
If you're some fat f*ck grunting as you manipulate your controller playing Call of Duty ... yeah, that's not sport. And if it is, then so is the same fat f*ck manipulating his own controller. WHERE DOES IT END?
Damn it, that was supposed to show Google's "define: sport"
Agree 100% with Kara on this one. Lame.
Imagine the doping possibilities.
as should everyone with at least half a brain.
I disagree with most here.
Here is the shot at making running wildly popular again a mix between distance running and points scored on gaming. I can see this set off.
It would help make running way more popular.

It's called Pokemon Go.
Not to mention the fact that gaming also requires great motor skills, hand-eye coordination and hard work. If golf and snooker can be called sport, why not gaming as e-sports?
Fair enough. However, definition evolves over time. Just like marriage was once supposed to be a conjugal union between men and women, and now you have same-sex marriage.

If gaming became and Olympic sport wouldn't gamers be subject to the same doping rules as runners? Are there different rules for different sports within the IOC?
Seems like there were a few snow-boarders that were busted for pot when that became an Olympic sport.
Smart drugs.
Why does a thread need to be started every time she tweets? It's like "Kara Goucher said X, what do you all think?" I think you all like her a lot!
Esport does not give a shit about the Olympics. At some point the Olympics will come begging. But there is no need for that. noone watches running and most other Olympic sports either way

I'm an e-Sportsperson.
Pretty famous within my niche.
About as famous as elite runners are within their niche.
