Just got cleared of a double murder and was looking at having his previous conviction re-evaluated.

So he won't be returning to the Patriots lineup?
Handle says it
Good job American justice system. It's so bad, prisoners would rather face death than continue on. Meanwhile, other countries rehab their prisoners to improve the individual, & society.
Which other countries rehab murderers and the like?
I don't know that I would put this one on the American justice system. It's more of a factor of having it all and then blowing it, like the Enron guy who committed suicide.
Great news.
So you'd just prefer they let a man convicted of killing another just go through some "rehab" and some piss poor classes on "being a better person"; and then let him walk free again? The dude killed someone, was convicted and sentenced to life with no parole, realized he was screwed, and hanged himself. More should follow suit and empty out the prisons. Hell, it would probably cost less tax payer $$$ than the death penalty would or just letting them rot there.
Oh and other countries will also cut the hands off thieves, hang gays off bridges, and kill women for not covering up properly. But hey don't mention that. Our prisons are not perfect, but they are far from the worst.
shameful should be shameful hes a liberal idiot...smh

Well thats 6 of 196... seems to be an extreme minority...
I am glad he is gone, no more burden on the taxpayers. It costs about 35K per year to keep an inmate incarcerated, he just saved us a bunch of money, just like Geico. Good on you Aaron.
I don't follow the NFL closely but the wiki entry on this guy makes him seem insane.

That would apply to about 90% of the NFL, they include: steroid thugs, gang bangers, wife and child beaters. This guy:Latin Kings.
But hey, they entertain us, and are trotted out as role models.

All convicted of a crimes (some killing people). Hernandez, if he had gotten his original conviction overturned, would have been given a chance by an NFL team.
And somehow, a 29 year old QB with 3 NFC Championship games, a 4:1 TD:Int ratio last season, and a near Super Bowl win, is blackballed and unsigned (while Mike Glennon and other bums are getting guaranteed money) for being unpatriotic.
The NFL is screwed up.
"Hernandez was discovered hanged in his cell by corrections officers..."
That's poor sentence construction in the embedly preview of that article.
Well, at least he died doing what he loved
Spent 10 seconds on Google, in AU the max sentence for murder is life, the standard sentence is 20 years w/o parole or 25 years if the victim is a minor.
Doesn't seem much different than the US to me.
