You may find it extremely helpful to think that every time you move you are doing ab work. So the question becomes, "How much work do you do?"
Three "Core Sessions" a week (mwf), with my wife that consist of roughly 400-500 situps per day. Along with light wts too. Followed by a good brew, of course!
If AB is short for Another Budweiser, than that explains my light beer gut!
On a serious note, I've been getting fit again and have found that The Wheel is very good. A former AR holder at Steeple and 1/2 Mar. told me to do 25xThe Wheel before and after EVERY run and watch what happen's.
I'm beginning to see result's.
It may be just me, but the wheel seems so unnatural and straining. Counter-productive. But thats just me.
