Hey I'm just glad to see her butt and legs.

Looks like the rumors that this was staged may be true.

Some of you people are arrogant pricks. You see another human being in need, you help them. Doesn't matter if you are competing for first or 10,000th positon. If that involves you getting DQd, then it does. Maybe there was no immediate medical assistance available and it was quicker for the person to carry the other one to the medical then it would have been for that person to run to the end, then alert medical professionals a runner was down. Seconds save lives.
Bull$hit, it's a race and the sport has been high jacked by loud mouth hobby joggers. I wouldn't stop running to save one.
seriously, if any elite got carried across they would get the big fat DQ, right fam?
When I made that right turn on Hereford I saw two guys carrying a girl; I thought about telling them to put her down because she might get DQ'd and at that point, surely you can at least walk to the finish? I thought it was an official rule for everyone, not just elites?

She wasn't in need - she was his guide. He just wanted to carry her across the finish line.
Why did he need a guide?

You should ask the 6'3" 230 lb vet who lost a leg in combat and carried an American flag for 26.2 miles why he had friend/companion running with him.
Of course if she 'ran' a qualifying time and he carried her, it wouldn't count. But since they were nowhere near qualifying times, who cares? Good for them. They are both amazing and I'm glad they exist and did what they did.
