I recall another fairly recent NY Times article, or maybe it was the NYer, about how running was good for your knees. It was based on a scientific study.
I laugh and even scoff at the idea that it's a waste of time to add years to your life if you spend time running. From where I sit, running is often the best part of my day. And I'm self-employed and fairly content, it's not escaping, It's doing what I want.
What would people rather be doing than running? If they are non-runners, just about anything, I suppose. But if they are runners, just about nothing.
What do people think is better than running? Needle point? Jacking off? Eating pastries? Washing their Dodge Charger? Eating bad food so they can't take a proper dump?
