GO GIRL!!!!!
We told the leftists over and over again that this would happen. But as always they refused to listen.
So I root for this "girl". And I hope "she" takes all the age records she can in the coming years. That's the only way the left will open their eyes.

Unfortunately a lot of people might not even blink when XX women are completely eliminated from most sports. It's very progressive

Past tense
Look at Rio 800m results
The ship has sailed for women sports.

I believe that transgendered individuals do view themselves as truly belonging to the opposite gender. And they should be treated as such - socially.
However, in competitive sports they need to compete based on their physiology not their psychological identity.
Just because you feel like a girl doesn't mean you run like a girl.
Best post of the thread ........ But you miss by just a little.
In a year she will be on anti-androgens and running a second slower. She will then be running like a girl. Problem solved.
Competitive sports should be based on T levels and not on gender identity.

So, a 6' 9" boy who takes hormones does not have a competitive advantage in the WNBA?
Get real. Instantaneous levels of one or two hormones do not account for the whole spectrum of biological differences between men and women.

There's no point in talking sense to mentally ill people.

Agree, hormone levels are part of a small picture
Height won't change much (depends when you start changing hormones)
Skeletal structure is basically suited to locomotion in men and birthing in women
Testosterone is linked to muscle mass but if you've had it prior and put it on, it's harder to lose
Etc etc
Those who are supposed to be in charge of athletics and prevent cheating need to tackle this properly, as do female athletes. One thing that female athletes could do is in a major championship race or DL meet, agree in advance to not start on the gun, and then run their own race 30s behind the males starting and then race it properly. They're not going to have a chance to win any medals against born males with different hormones, stronger bone structure, slimmer pelvis, greater muscle mass, bigger hearts and lungs, etc. so they might as well.
The whole situation is ridiculous. Why are people so afraid of speaking out against it? I get that athletes on contracts with their national governing bodies are banned from speaking out, but its almost as if there is a code of silence in the media about criticising it. Why is this happening? Are people threatened if they speak out? Look what happened in the UK with the trans athlete Lauren Jeska (born Michael someone) - he is in jail for nearly murdering an athletics official investigating whether or not he stopped taking female hormones.
Also, in this case, the athlete in question is a child undergoing puberty. Children find puberty confusing and encouraging gender confusion is not particularly helpful at this age. Neither is encouraging a smooth progression to a full sex change. This is quite possibly a confused child who may well go through other adaptive mental changes as they learn to cope with their changing body and place in the world. The relentless positive attitude towards changing gender at the expense of the original gender isn't very neutral. The child needs support and sympathy from his parents, not pressure to become a top level athlete and poster child for gender change.
I like your suggestion in your first paragraph above: direct action by the athletes. An on-the-field protest that provides an indelible image saying "We will not abide this." Nonviolent direct action. That's how the civil rights movement achieved what it achieved, in Birmingham and elsewhere.
But it's absolutely crucial that WHAT is being protested be clearly articulated. Right now, there's a confusion--on this forum, I suspect, as well as in the general public--between socially retrograde curmudgeons who just don't like the idea of transgenderism AT ALL, on the one hand, and people like me, who think it's just fine, as long as it isn't allowed to make a mockery of fairness in gender-based competition.
Although I'm not particularly comfortable with people who look and talk like the athlete in question, and although I'm dealing with that discomfort awkwardly, by joking about "the dude" and saying "he/she," I also recognize the humanity of such people, and I acknowledge that there are better and worse ways of responding to the challenge the pose. I consider the bathroom challenge to be a fairly easy fix: mandate a "universal" bathroom in all government buildings, airports, all sporting arenas, all big public facilities. The bathroom challenge can be solved.
But the challenge of gender-divided athletics simply can't abide the "choice" or "feelings" standard: the "I've always felt like a girl" standard.
In any case, I completely agree with your last line: "The child needs support and sympathy from his parents, not pressure to become a top level athlete and poster child for gender change." Exactly right. Actually, I'm fine with the child becoming a top level athlete. I'm just not fine with the sham of allowing him/her to take what is in fact a large and manifest sex-based advantage into competitive women's athletics in the name of living out his gender identity. Even basic fairness would demand no competition until sustained hormone therapy had had a chance to BEGIN to level the playing field.
If this wave continues to move through "woman's sports", rules need to be put in place. If someone has a mans/boy's body, they should compete against men, not the gals they psychologically identify with. My girls who run T&F and XC are going to be destroyed by the guys that transition. In this case the transition hasn't even started except psychologically. And of course the teammates are going to be accepting, that's where the culture is...nothing is wrong and everything is acceptable. What about the feelings of all the girls that have to compete against people with guys bodies. When are real men going to stand up and say this isn't fair and give the girls a level playing field? Listen to the coach. He is having a difficult time with this but can't do anything different.

T levels are just a very small part of this debate

It's actually spiritual what is happening.

Source? I seriously doubt your numbers. It's probably more like 9% or so. And the number goes up if you count just post-operative transgenders, those who have went under the knife, so-to-speak.
I also wonder how she would do in the heptathlon. She probably would do pretty well.
Disgusting and sick!

Not T levels....On DNA.....Science tells us what sex someone is.....I thought leftist/progressives were big advocates of science?
The science is settled!! It's a dude.
Democrats have been taken over by SJWs. They don't believe in actual science and instead create pseudoscience to further their means.
