"Chinese engineer ‘marries’ robot after failing to find a human wife"
I think the problem in this case is not so much that he does not run sub 14:00 for 5K or make more than $250,000/year, but that China has killed hundreds of millions of girls via abortion and infanticide.
See jamin? There's still hope!
I wonder what upgrades he's planning.

Yes, I'm terribly offended by this racist trolling, after of course I had a good laugh. If you can't make fun of a complete stranger's ethnicity, gender, nationality, then what is left for a good chuckle?
That ain't "making fun" of someone , it's outright dirty racist bile.
The robot has that arranged marriage look. I wonder if they program that in.
This is the future...robots are becoming more human-like in appearance, and A.I. is jumping by leaps & bounds. I hope to live long enough to have my own sexy, hot, athletic Andriod...life would be good ðŸ˜. Those "synthetics" on the serie "Humans" are super hot and make great companions.
Seriously, who needs a human relationship with the opposite/same sex. Divorces, marriage breakdown, boredom, etc, as well as aging, sickness & death of a spouse. Android relationships...this is the future! ðŸ‘

How was it racist? Just because a nonwhite person is made fun of does not mean racism has occured.
What happened to my "darkie" comment?
Not to mention the "slopehead" remark. Must be some kind of clerical error.

The Chinese have also killed hundreds of millions of boys via abortion and infanticide, but still less than the number of girls killed. India is rather similar, too, sadly.

Look at it this way, some of those female babies might have been the next Hillary Clinton ...

Wwaaaayyyyyyyy less than the number of Chinese girls killed. China will soon be competing with America for mail-order brides.
The guy designs robots for a living. I'm sure he's loaded and would have no trouble finding a wife in China. This is all just a marketing ploy on his part.

Classy dude Brantly (cough).
Unfortunately many see marriage as something to fulfill you. So when it doesn't they bail, hoping for another, better relationship, which usually only makes things worse. People for many generations had a much smaller field to play (or their marriage was arranged) and they weren't trying to find their soul mate, they were trying to find someone to build a relationship with, to build a life and a family with. Marriage is as much about what you can give.
