Finally SOME of this is coming out.
SOME. NOT ALL.
I can't believe how long I have had to tell this to people here.
I'm glad someone other than me can say something at this point.
All you kids out there, don't be dirtbags and use--it's more than obvious, and only morons will admire you. Nobody will respect you.
Be your best, do your best. Cleanly. And be proud of yourself for doing it!

I wonder how this will be handled. Will this be investigated further or will a lot of effort be put into sweeping this under the carpet?
Jamaica doping good, Russia doping bad? -
Wow, Sprintgeezer comes out of hiding! Haven't seen you around these parts in a while.

Did anyone watch today's show? Here's Cathan Dennehy's take on it.

Yep...Jamaica AND Kenyan doping good, Russia doping bad. -
If someone can find a link to an English version, let me know. I'd like to watch it.
The problem with these type of things is people think it's easy to catch drug cheats or that it's always clear cut. Just because there is a suspicious test doesn't mean you can convict or there is a coverup.
They certainly aren't looking the other way in terms of Jama Aden or Alberto Salazar. They freaking raided Aden's hotel and we don't have any suspensions. So when we hear of suspicious test like apparently was mentioned in this report or was mentioned a few weeks ago with the NOP, we need to realize that the benefit of the doubt always goes to the accused.
The problem is the governing bodies gave us zero reason to trust them for decades. -

OK. I've merged the two threads on the topic into one.
The one others started was entitled, "IOC sweeps positve Jamaican test results under the carpet:
Ours was entiteld, "Germany's ARD Just Put Out Another TV Show: This one focuses on steroids and Jamaican sprinters in 2008."
I think the 1st title should at least include a question mark at the end of it. "IOC sweeps positve Jamaican test results under the carpet?"
It amazes me that people think the concept of it could come from contaminated meat is automatically a lie.
So I'm going to go with a hybrid title of "IOC sweeps positve Jamaican test results under the carpet? Germany's ARD just put out another tv show w focus on Jamaica" -
I only remind people to be cautious as the guy we sent to Kenya insists ARD sensationalizes things and practices "yellow journalism." He accused them of basically doctoring videos or editing them in a very sensational way.
I told him, "They helped break the greatest story in 50 years in sports." But he thinks they keep looking for fire even it's just smoke sometimes. -
Here is a good article on the matter:
http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/Banned-drug-found-in-Jamaican-sprinters--2008-samples---report
AFP wrote:
Small amounts of the banned substance clenbuterol have been retroactively found in the samples of Jamaican sprinters at the 2008 Olympic Games, according to a report on Sunday.
German broadcaster ARD claims the International Olympic Committee (IOC) learnt of the discovery late last year, but no action has been taken as the levels detected by testing using updated techniques are so small.
ARD has not specified which Jamaican athletes' samples are affected from the Beijing Games, where superstar Usain Bolt won three gold medals, but said other athletes from other countries also failed retroactive testing.
The ARD report quotes Olivier Niggli, director of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), saying: "I am aware of the fact that there are Jamaican cases with very low levels of clenbuterol.
If the amounts found are relatively low compared to direct intake of the substance, WADA accepts that such cases are not announced.". -
that's not really a surprise. noone is interested in fighting doping because its bad for buisness.

They way they picked (paid) that random street character from Iten, Freddy, as their main source, sensationally describing him as "a Kenyan athlete" and magically "found" EPO and syringes that just happened to be lying about, in full view, on a bed in an unlocked room was a total joke and majorly discredited them. Lornah's place had to explain that the rules and practices of the establishment would make their story impossible. On the other hand, they did help expose some corrupt officials which really is Kenya's biggest problem. -
lets be honest. kenians have a hard life and as such would do anything to get some money. including robbing, stealing and scam. a bit of doping really is the least bad and unlikely of things

Because such things are completely non-existent in utopian western societies, right? I'd tell you to take a minute to reflect on the offensiveness of your post, but that would be futile. Are you German, by the way? -

Several Jamaican retests from 2008 were found positive for Clenbuterol. IOC and WADA didn't act on it, because it could have been contaminated meat.
Not really surprised. Elite sprinters=genetics plus drugs, and to be fair how much cleaner are American track athletes? Only two kinds of sprinters as many have said on this forum, one caught for using steroids, one who is still getting away. -

Russian doping bad because Russia didn't pay. Apparently, Jamaica is paying well.
BTW, Bolt is never testing positive.
Angel, "Memo" Hermida still doping. I'm shocked! -

Yeah, no doping in 'Bus load of positives' Kenya, is there? -
Haven't you people realized the OIC, Olympics, etc. etc. etc. are in full
DIVERSITY mode which means they are in full ANTI-WHITE mode. Russia BAD, Jamaica Good! Kenyan dopers great! 3 black trannies sweeping the medals in the 'womens' 800 at the last Olympics was marvelous! -

At least our doorbells work. Meanwhile, that so-called "bus load" of lower-tier cheats remains frozen at the same number while approaching ancient history status with each passing day.
