This trip was always planned to be a FAKE world record, with the tracker riding the van, so it's impossible these two weren't in on it.
Dave KNEW he had ZERO chance of even half a day at world record pace, so he must have been planning to fake it.
Those two were on his other faked runs too, like the 150 miler that never happened.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt since Neil was believable and there are other plausible explanations for Joe and Mark.

There are NO plausible explanations to explain how a driver and photographer taking part in a fake world record trip with the runner NOT running (which was the plan) could NOT be in on the scam.

Mark and Joe could be the reason that Dave Reading didn't run 100 miles the first day when we had no boots on the ground. They could have been the ones that kept him honest. And they could also be when the run ended after the second day when they called it quits when they saw what Dave was doing.
And Shite Hawk has given us a major tip to look at these shell companies with Dave and Terrie's names on them. Use your lobotomized brain to realize this is MAJOR and provides clues about how they were really able to set up this scam. Shite Hawk gave us major, relevant information so he has high credibility.

3. A Brave DNF - same reason
4. An unbelieveable time (i.e. below 5 hours) and missing mat times

6. The van is kicked off the course at Cutty Sark so he electric bikes it to Tower Bridge then gets a tube to Embankment

Mattressman deleted the FB pages that suppirted Dave Reading. They are trying to rid themselves of him.
