And there is no accountability for any of those "offline" donations from sponsors and people. Could just be like there "£50" sponsored BBQ.

I doubt anyone outside his clan and letsrun that no one else ever saw any if these. The view counts are extremely low. This whole thing is weird. Videos done, has sponsors, charity with very little donations, yet almost no following. I mean almost no following.
By the way, it looks like the only people that ever watched those videos are Dave, Terrie…and you.
I refused to watch any of Dave's stupid videos.
However, I am still part of Dave's "following" on social media.
It is fun to "follow Dave" on his social media and all of the "fake news stories about Dave" that was reported in all the "fake British press"... where not one person ever bothered to check whether Dave might be full of sh*t and telling everyone a bunch of LIES about his entire EPIC WORLD RECORD ULTRARUN JOURNEY…by a heavy smoker for 41 years…who was coughing up blood and had trouble making it to the top of the stairs.
Really Brits???
They name their country "Great" Britain... and they name their Air Force…the "Royal" Air Force.
What a joke.
ah. simple. this explains why i could never guess the scooby doo bad guys. it'll be great fun seeing what happens at london now.

Obviously they thought they could put the donated tracker on the van and scam it. Then claim a world record just before London marathon and become famous because of all the publicity surrounding that

I agree. They kept a low profile on purpose to try and fly under the radar. Some of the sponsors were in on it for the increased advertising they would get from a world record. I think we what sponsors are guilty.
How the OP found this guy is pretty amazing. Good thing he did. I bet the sponsors are pissed right now as well as being embarrassed.
Rjim, you have to watch the videos, they are classic.

I don't think they were intending to keep a low profile. Afterall, they did try soliciting offline donations at schools and a supermarket. I think they wanted a lot of people to follow their website and social media accounts but they just weren't smart enough to keep their stories and times sensible. And Dave's acting sucks, he needs to take some classes.
All those fake training runs were just rehearsals to simulate driving the van at a slow pace to fake the record. But then they got scared when they realized that there would be boots on the ground at unknown locations that would be filming them.
He got ten pairs of Hokas to do this farce. Bet they'll be on EBay by now, along with his Dryrobe and everything else that he blagged.

Question:
How is having articles about the 837 Mile WR UltraRun in the British press…and going to schools giving inspirational speeches…and posting everthing including videos on the internet, Twitter, and Facebook…keeping a low profile???
SealSkinz with Dave Reading is just like SKINS with Robert Young.
I hope that SEALSKINZ will not have to pay for an independent investigation by Ross Tucker with over 100 pages of "scientific findings on Robert Young" like Jamie Fuller CEO of SKINS had to do with Robbie and his UltraCharityFraud Debacle.
https://mobile.twitter.com/sealskinz/status/841207867357175810?p=vCould these crappy SEALSKINZ socks be the cause of Dave's "shredded feet" problems???

This is an opportunity for the LetsRun community to give back. It's the least we can do.
Poor Dave and his family were exposed as frauds. We had our fun and played our role. They are actually quite fortunate to have been tipped off before claiming a bogus world record. They are now marginally wiser, but not wise. They are human, deeply flawed, liars, and ignorant. This was their chance at glory. It's sad but I don't think they knew any better. And I'm not sure they have learned much. They now feel like victims.
The charities should have stepped in and stopped the charade but they didn't. They are otherwise probably worthy causes. Consider giving directly to support the US or UK service men and women that protect us.
Their sponsors have no excuse. They, of all, should have known better. Real, top shelf athletes, good, clean, hard working, honest, living in poverty, receive less support than this family has.
Give back - support your local athletes.
You are welcome to leave. No one will miss you.
After watching that video I'm actually feeling a bit sorry for poor old Dave, he doesn't exactly come across as a master manipulator and, going by her 'lying wankers/funniest forum' posts and Facebook entries, Terrie doesn't seem too bright either. Then again I suppose they could both possess rat cunning which enabled them to con sponsors, money donors, Prince Harry, Walking With The Wounded, etc.Do we have any videos of Terrie?

He looks as fresh as a daisy in all 9, despite a 148 mile effort. This thread will take some beating and will surely make the all time most entertaining LR threads.

I found myself feeling sorry for him, but then remembered the deception and deceit that had gone on in the name of a charity. I then reverted back to thinking, let's nail these scumbags.

What a joke.
There's two Air Force's, the Royal Air Force and a special one for special people like Dave with special military training needs, you know, those special ones who have to do 30 mile hikes in full combat gear and are 49 year old mechanic reservists, it's called the Royal Air Farce.

Fair comment.
Good luck Dave and Terrie. wrote:

Doesn't their sponsors still have scammer Dave posts?
I think Dave and Terrie are getting worried the charity and government auditors are about to come knocking.
Too late Terrie, once it's on the net it's there for ever. Also, seems you've upset a lot of people who've given time, money, services, goods, etc by being economical with the truth, so they're going to squeal long and loud when approached.
We're on to it.
I think my favorite video of Dave is his Norfolk Run #3 where he lets a Freudian slip out that he has been riding in the back of the van for the run before he corrects himself. And he yet against mentions SportLink.
You are welcome to leave. No one will miss you.
Then it will just be you = one of the LetsRun.com founders/moderators on this thread.
This is not a surprise.
Business as usual at LetsClick.com
On the feeling sorry for him angle, the same can be said for all of these people whether it is Kip or Rossi or Kaiha or Rob Young because they are all driven to cheat and lie by the same inner emptiness which they hope to fill with bogus fame and attention. It is often tempting to assume that there is some financial dodginess going on too but that seems really difficult to prove to any realistic standard of proof or for any sums of money that would be worth the risk so best not make these kinds of claims.

Don't miss the comment about "Dave's Dream Becomes Reality."
Dave has a trailer video.
WTF???
What is going on here in this video???
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCXcYcGJoo4Dave has classic running form... and the typical athletic body type seen in 3:12 marathoners who are 49 years old... and have a history of smoking 2 to 3 packs a day for 41 years.
I also like the music in the video.
Oh boy.

Rob got a funded lifestyle of trips all over the world and a shed load of free gear. Don't tell me money has nothing to do with it! He was a full time scammer with no job.
Even this scammer got a funded trip and 10 pairs of Hokas, a load of free bikes and other stuff from Dryrobe etc.
Kaiha I think was mainly after attention, yes.
