I was waiting for the first person to point out that she ran Mt Marathon and somehow try and relate that to the steeple. Running up and down a mountain (which she is excellent at obviously as she was WORLD Junior Champion) does not mean "oh yea, totally will translate to the freaking steeple." Butthead.
one part of mountain running that should translate to the steeple is having experience dealing with the uneven nature of the race. That being said, given her injury history and stature, I'm not sure this is a wise move. Will be curious to see how this turns out.
Worth noting also that a lot of people (myself included) criticized Schumacher for switching jager over to the steeple fairly soon after his navicular injury. To my knowledge that has never flared up again and obviously that turned out to be a wise decision.
