How ridiculous is this. The 2nd place finisher, Womens 40-44, at the LA Marathon has a 3:21:18 finish, and given that the gun time and clock time are seconds apart, the runner was in Corral A with Bib 14859, which is an Open Corral number (way in the back). I hate corral jumpers.

LA Marathon has a handy link to MarathonFoto. Follow the link and it is not a woman wearing Bib 14859, but is a man, wearing his 2105 BAA clothing. (So lame.)

On the OC Marathon ambassadors page, because she is an ambassador for the upcoming marathon, the runner’s link to her Instagram account shows other marathons she has posted (concealing bib numbers for whatever reason when results are by name, duh) and there is San Francisco, where she walked a 5:16:32 time in 2015, and crawled a 5:49:50 in 2014.
Most of the races on Instagram are half-marathons, all with finishing times above, and well above, 2 hours.
So obviously someone who trots a 5:00+ hour marathon does not run a 3:21 marathon and she got a bib mule to cheat for her. But why? Just to qualify for Boston? So what. Meanwhile you rob the real 2nd place finisher, and 3rd place too, all so you can go to Boston but would have to forever lie about qualifying and will easily be caught cheating.
Oh, and yes, I told LA Marathon a week ago. The results are still up.
