Man, I don't get all the Rupp hate. I don't like how NOP does things either, but Rupp is by far the GOAT American runner EVER at 5,000 and up.
But sub-59, um, no.
Why Not? 26:44 on the Track is better than most who have gone sub 59, and Salazar's runners are often best at half marathon, examples Goucher and Hasay best event has been the half marathon (so far for Hasay) and Ritz's best race was the 12:56 for 5000 after that his 60:00 and 60:12 Half marathons are his best performances at any distance (except for the mentioned 12:56), and while Rupp has not ran a fast marathon yet, he got 3rd in the Olympics, I have a feeling Rupp will excel at Half Marathon.
You're forgetting Dathan's 2:07 marathon!...
Rupp got third in the olympics, but he ran 2:10...and faded badly in the end..Rupp is a solid runner, but he is highly overrated.
However, he might have that special Alberto juice behind him, so he just might put up something impressive...
