Dude, what more do you want with this 'bump'? Just to blabbity blah blah some more? The consensus is that you're not in shape to run sub-18 and that you should run more. Go.

Predictably, some moron (you) thinks mile repeats with 30 seconds rest should be done at 5k goal race pace. This is lunacy.
1. HM pace for 1:20 is 6:06. Not 6:23, 6:22, 6:19, or even 6:13
2. Rest was 60-80 seconds. Not 30.
3. Try to read a little more carefully before calling people morons.
4. It's spelled moran around here.
1. 6:13 pace is 1:21 and you implied his HM would be even faster. Even if he could run 18:00, his HM pace would be much slower than the times listed, not faster.
2. Why does it even matter? You don't do mile repeats with 60-80 seconds rest at 5k pace either, dumba$s.

Hahaha, this thread's still going? OP, do you think you can run 3.1 miles at 5:47 pace? Does that sound maybe too fast for you? Nothing you've said about your workouts indicates you can do this but only you know how you're feeling. I'd be impressed if you're under 18:30 and I'm more optimistic than just about everyone else. You have your answer from us: No, you don't have a shot. Now, go, race, report back, make us all look like fools if you're capable.
Already said it, but, no, you can't break 18. You'll be lucky to break 19. Mic drop.
I ran a 17:59 a couple weeks ago. The week before I ran 4x1 mile at 5:46-5:50 pace with only 2-3 mins of easy jog in between. Having said that, the day I ran 17:59 was super windy and freezing cold, so I do think I could have run closer to 17:50. Point being, you're not in shape to run below 18. Run harder.
I did the same workout earlier this season.
6:03, 6:05, 6:04, 75, 76, 5:57
I ran 18:51 the next meet.
I just ran 29:05 for 8k (which indicates like 17:40). My workouts are a little longer because I'm training for a half marathon and just randomly signed up for the 8k in the middle of training
Some workouts I've done over the past month:
6 x mile @ 6:00 4 minutes rest
3 x 2 mile @ 6:00 4 minutes rest
2 x 3 mile @ 6:00 4 minutes rest
4miles @ 6:45 + 1 mile @ 6:15 + 4 miles @ 6:45 (no rest)
Goal is 6:15 half
No.
Just got back from the race
I ran 18:30 after going out under 5:50 so probably in shape for a 18:2x.

Sounds like a nice PR. Congrats on that. 5:50 isn't terrible for an 18:30... So I'd say you are in shape for 18:30.
If you wore gps, what was your first 1/4 mile and half mile?
