The best part is that a 4:20 mile equates to a 2:26 thon. Imagine showing up to a local thon and seeing the guy in front of the lead pack being this overweight guy running a 2:26 thon pace Lol

Looks like that 4:20/mile works out perfectly for 100 consecutive marathons.
Wow the dude is FLYING in these pics!!!

Missed each split leading up to the 10mile one. A quick map check shows that this would be a prime course to do that on. FFS. At least he's learning from some mistakes of cheaters gone by (get a bunch of on course photos is one).

That's not our Kevin Kelly. He's too young, and he's from the wrong place (Hoboken). Down, boy!
His Twitter bio says "100+ marathons" and "helped to grow 100+ brands."
The intended resonance is clear, and it helps explain the "mission": he's the 100+ man!
Everything about him is Big and Bold. His ambitions, his physical size, his appetites, the fact that he topped off his 100 marathon streak with "a little extra 100 mile run at the end." Big and Bold!
Oh, that's right. The creed at the top of his Twitter page is "be BOLD enough to be yourself!"
The first law of branding: "Being aware that everything in your brand ecosystem is connected to everything else"
I would encourage somebody with some time on their hands to drill down through his Twitter feed. One thing you'll notice is how many of the tweets are devoted to products, not charities. Using his extraordinary and bold endurance event/scam? to help out a few brands willing to lend him their imprimateur.
Somebody drill down, please. There's an awful lot there.
Here's one video: relaxing on the beach after 25 miles.
What was his route, BTW? I'd like to see every day marked on a map. What sort of GPS device did he use to register his mileage? Where's that data? Did he have a support team, or was this entirely solo? He must have had a support team, or at least one person, because he was running point-to-point. Who drove the van with his clothes, etc., in it? Has that person been heard from?
I'm sure all these questions have been answered at various points in this thread, but we're due for a recap.
I'm sure this has been posted earlier, and excerpted, but it raises obvious questions:
The most obvious question is simply: Who, if anybody, has witnessed the entire run and/or portions of the run? Who, if anybody, has accompanied him on portions of the run--either the organized official Sunday marathons, or the stuff where he's basically just been out there plodding on his own?
Where's the evidence, apart from his own personal attestations, that he actually did any of this? Did he do those planned Sunday marathons, one every Sunday stung out along his route, and, if so, where are the official results?
Again, I'm late to the party, but this would be a good time for somebody to summarize whatever actual evidence there is for him having run ANY portion of what he claims to have run. Surely we're not supposed to take his claims at face value WITHOUT evidence!
That would be.....advertising. That would be....branding.
But the brands people trust are brands that have earned their trust. Trust can be earned in various ways.
Come on, KP. We need some evidence. Alternate facts won't do.
I have enough evidence. It all looks good to me.
I think based on the fact that we all know this guy can't run a 3:05 thon and that he's 6'7 and 250lbs that we can all conclude that there is NO WAY he was doing 180 miles a week at 9 min pace.
Strava? Any GPS data? Nahhhh....a 3 second clip and a stupid ongoing 'thumbs up' is all you need. Fvck this guy.
Er...I mean wait...I just did 120 of them in 60 days! Yeah....give me money!
I think this clown is the absolute worst as everyone else before just didn't cheat (and I use cheat in the 1 or 2 real races he actually entered and missed splits)...he's actually trying to profit. That's called fraud.
C'mon Derek...call to arms if there's anything we can do.
So he only ran 16 miles--the first 10 at ~11:20/mile, and the last 6 at 13:30/mile. Yeah, he definitely has the stamina to run a marathon 100 days in a row.

The "3:35" pacer for this race...Mr "I can run IRONICALLY ENOUGH 3:11 PACE on a treadmill in training" slogged out an EPIC 4:40.
2 years earlier he SHOCKED THE WORLD with an incredible bag of...umm...oh look! More missed splits!

What? Doesn't every runner carry a tablet with them when they run a marathon? It gives you great arm strength holding it in front of your face for 5 hours. All the 200 rep bicep curls Mr. McFatty did in the gym to prepare for his marathons all the sudden make sense.

He ran a 3:00 in 2013 no splits and then a 3:36 in 2014 no splits. He probably used those times to become a pacer and get his race comped in 2015 where he finished in 4:39.
In the New Orleans marathon, there were a lot of runners with no 5k split so it is possible he walk/jogged the whole way for his 5:21. He probably wanted to do just enough to make his 100 marathon/100day scam seem realistic.
I went way back and found what looks like a legitimate 3:27 at Columbus when he was 25. He had 3 other marathons in the 3:53 range. Looks like he started cheating in 2013.
On march 16 Bart Yaso was tweeting his support for this guy.... well, if Bart Yasso believes this guy ran 100 marathons in 100 days who are we to question Bart? Does anyone know more about the Marathon than Bart?
While I respect the idea, it is a little suspicious when there are only pictures of him standing alone. no pictures of him at any of these 100 marathons anywhere?
More laughs. McFatty's diet plan is a whole pizza every night and he is concerned that he has to eat more to maintain his strength. Thus, he had to carry a 64 pound backpack with him with food in it on his run across Ohio. And he claims his PR is in the Chicago Marathon. This guy is so ridiculous it makes me ashamed to be associated with running. The whole sport is a scam.
