Wow! If this is legit, good luck finding a well qualified replacement. They'll probably have to hire a women and there's nothing wrong with that and probably the right call here. But even the well-qualified women aren't going to want to touch that dumpster fire with a pole vault. There's such a relatively limited number of them that they can name their price & situation...which won't be at Harvard. Jason's probably going to have to take over coaching the women in the mean time while mentoring the kid they hire for their first full time position. Maybe that pole vault volunteer coach? From what I've observed of the program, this is likely the right move...but what a tough situation for everyone involved. Do the pro-PWD athletes transfer along with the un-named Canadian?

Assuming PWD is on his way out, any ideas who a good candidate is for Harvard?
Tim Brock (Providence), Mark Rinker (Northeastern), Elliott Lehane (Boston), Jennifer Fazioli (TCU), Ryan Waite (Delaware), Angela Reckart (Penn State), Pat McGregor (Samford)
These are some of the young coaches I've been impressed with this year. Would love to see any of them have an opportunity to lead a team with good potential.
Turner (Notre Dame) should get consideration
I was just wanna know where the girls are going to sleep now?

Why would Turner, the head coach at Notre dame who coaches sprints and hurdles, take the womens XC job at Harvard?
Bye Judy Pendergast...
98 percent of athletes go pro in something other then their sport...
Not a huge Harvard guy but why would you transfer from one of the best schools in the world to go to Oregon.
Not hoping, but thinking she may regret this decision down the road...one rooted in a bit too much emotion I feel. All the best to her.
Figured this would happen after their coach was wrongfully forced out.
Harvard has acknowledged it profited from slavery. Shut it down and rename it Unity University, you racists.
She had this to say about Harvard to milesplit back in high school
http://il.milesplit.com/articles/167453/q-and-a-with-harvard-bound-judy-pendergastI'm thinking that this investigation made her realize that the team dynamics was not what she thought it would be. I think she was one of the few who defended PWD but I have no concrete evidence of that, other than her being one of the few distance athletes who made it through all three season's last year.
Shame for the program. She's still listed on the Harvard roster though. It makes me wonder who else is really gone if the roster is not up to date.

Good thing they got rid of him. First to worst at Heps.

Surprised no hysterical claims of inappropriate touching under the prior administration.
Maybe 10 years from now.
At least they don't feel like they are pressured too much to focus on their running, now.

Princeton's laughing their a** off!
PWD did everything he could to ensure their failure, talked Smith (how is she doing?) and Pendergast into transferring. The rest of his frosh class is still hurt from his crazy training, they will be fine in the long run. Can't say the same for Smith.
Or maybe they just didn’t like the decision Harvard made so they left. Anyway, Harvard will be better off as a social club with no one’s feelings hurt.
Havard will rise again. Just wait and see. Three years and they will be a force in their XC regional and at the NCAA. Gibby could build a competative distance program out of 3rd graders.
No, talk to the athletes, most of last years frosh class is still there and still hurt. The damage is done, just ask Smith?
