What mental illness do you think he has? You may wish to consider this research:

Guy doesn't want to get sued since he sometimes has named people who later it turned out didn't cheat.
He has changed his website -- not an ongoing "blog" structure anymore, but a different layout that presents different entries as "stories." If you come into his sight now without familiarity with his work, it looks he is presenting coherent news stories, but his entries are actually more like ongoing case studies that he is investigating. If you click into one of these stories expecting normal journalistic format and standards, you will be disappointed. If you understand that he's presenting investigative notes on developing cases, it makes more sense.
I think the marathon investigation guy does some quality work, but I really don't get why he cares?
Guys like Kip Litton were pretty entertaining and made for a good read (a great read, actually), but sifting through every Boston Qualifier to make sure they didn't cut the course or use someone else to run with their bib.. seems a bit obsessive, and ridiculous.
I don't know what justice this is serving. So one person who will finish toward the back and no one will ever notice got kicked out of Boston? Congrats. I'd think that sort of persistence and hard work could be better served elsewhere.

Maybe people that are considering cheating to get to Boston might do otherwise based on the increasing likelihood of getting caught? But bottom line, it is his time to choose to spend how he would like. Maybe you could have done something more productive than reading and replying to this thread?

Oh. Interesting. Great. Please tell us what you do in your spare time and we'll let you know if we think it's a good use of your time or if your time could be better served elsewhere.
This guy researches and writes about something he finds interesting. Some people also find it interesting, others don't. This is hardly an unusual phenomena. For example - how much energy and time is spent by a massive number of people writing about what "celebrities" do in their spare time. Where is the value in that? Surely their persistence and hard work could be better served elsewhere? Surely that is a much bigger issue to you than this one guy's hobby?
So - here's a job for you - instead of complaining about one guy writing about something that doesn't interest you, why not move onto bigger fish and dedicate your spare time to exposing all the people who spend their time doing things that don't interest you.

+1
To each his own I guess.
Loses a lot of cred by not naming people though.

Ask that question to all the Boston Qualifiers that were on the edge of the time cut. I haven't been keeping track, but it seems like at least 20 qualifiers will get to run because of the fakes thrown out.

Like working on that 4:30 marathon PR?
Don't forget to tip your waitresses, folks.
We got pics, so the next question generally is, "Did she look relaxed during the run?"
I think we can assume, Yes, she was relaxed during the marathon, RELAXED ON HER COUCH!!!
I had to click on this thread just to find out what a "bib mule" is.
I assumed it had to do with putting something up one's butt.
I'm so hopelessly out of touch.

It took me 2 minutes to find her real name, try harder.
2 minutes??? Are you kidding me??? How can you mentally handle that kind of time??? If I can't find it in a 10-second scan of the first-page search-results, I'm done.
I love people saying doesn't this guy have something better to do with his time. This site is filled with people who run 80+ MPW just so they can move their marathon time down a few minutes, let alone the fact that you're posting on a running website. Trust me, to the outside observer, "serious" runners waste a hell of a lot of time chasing a number unless you're a professional.
He did a decent job outing the travel agent guy in his latest article. He even named him.

Probably not.
It's OK that's he's OCD in a POSITIVE way. He's doing the sport a favor.
Positive OCD in the sport of "running" is very common in Irish people.
For example:
Derek Murphy.
I also have a bit of POSITIVE OCD in my "Special NOP Workouts" that I sometimes put on FLOTRACK for people to watch…and worship.
For example:
1) My Special Alberto 10 X 200m on grass combined with 8 X 200m Hills NOP Workoutâ„¢.
For Optimal Results with MY Special Alberto NOP Workoutâ„¢, do not forget:
1) Salbutamol (short-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist) prescription inhaler for your asthma
2) Thyroid prescription from Dr. Jeffrey Brown for both Thyroxine (T4) and Cytomel (Triiodothyronine=T3) (I may tell you to CHANGE DOSES IF I FEEL LIKE IT …and I can also drive some Cytomel over to Galen... because I have some Cytomel (T3) at my house.)
3) Advair (Salmeterol = long-acting beta-2 agonist WITH an inhaled corticosteroid) prescription inhaler for your asthma
4) Calcitonin prescription to prevent stress fractures
5) Ambien (Zolpidem) prescription to help you sleep and have NICE DREAMS
6) Celebrex (Celecoxib, COX-2 inhibitor) prescription for your inflammation
7) Singulair (Montelukast, Leukotriene receptor antagonist) prescription for your allergies
8) Intravenous L-carnitine infusion before your run (My protocol and dosages are great!!!)
9) nasal strip
10) Nike Hatâ„¢
11) Nike Speedy Duct Tapeâ„¢
12) Nike Darth Vader Maskâ„¢ (in Evil Black color)
13) Nike Underwearâ„¢
14) Nike Sleevesâ„¢
15) Nike Singletâ„¢
16) Nike Shortsâ„¢
17) Nike Socksâ„¢
18) Nike Shoesâ„¢
19) Nike Lawyersâ„¢
JUST DO IT BARRY FUDGE and DR. CHAKRAVERTY!!!
DO IT NOW!!!

When I searched her bib# for the 2016 NYC marathon, the name that came up was Charrize Avendando. Is Cindy the English version/name for Charrize?
Dunno, but on LinkedIn she uses Cindy:
