If Desi Linden really wants to win Boston she is going to totally change how she races. Dropping way back half through race then scooping up the carnage ending up in 6 or 7th . Like Rio .
I wish her the best but she doesn't race for the win.

Why don't you go out there and show her how it's done?
STFU OP. Loser
All she has to do is outkick Jordan H and she will win. I'm calling it 1-2 between them!!
Why am I a loser? I hope she does well but recently she doesn't race to win . Races not to implode.

You're a loser because you've never won Boston either. What's your excuse? Did you consider racing to win?

I think she is really smart and self-aware and races to get everything out of her fitness that day. She says she has been more aggressive in training than the past few marathons after her injury, so maybe she'll race more aggressively, too.
I also think she is tough and willing to go to the well if her strategy puts her in the hunt. Isn't that what she did in 2011? She was damn tough down the stretch when she finished second.

You're a loser because you started a thread without reading or at least understanding the context of Desi talking about her Boston goals.
Well, I agree with Desi then! Time to go for the win,
FU ahole
Hasay will be the top American!

FU for starting a thread saying that she doesn't go for the win because you don't know what you are talking about.
Wouldn't be surprised if Hasay beat her.

Jordan will whip her with her pony tail as she runs by with the wind at her back to win the Boston Marathon.
ptg for the win!!!
Yes, Desi's typical come from behind strategy needs to put her in the hunt those last few miles for her to win. I doubt she will stray from her usual strategy, although maybe she will make her move earlier to stay competitive upfront. I forsee Hasay going out more aggressively. If she keeps it together, I think Hasay will have the better foot speed at the end. She recently beat Emily Infield, who is no slouch w/ the kick, even w/ the longer distance in her legs. It would be an incredible story if Hasay won Boston. Think about it... former 1500 child prodigy turned elite marathoner. You don't hear that very often! But Desi winning would be incredible too, and well deserved!
What is this "typical" Desi strategy talk? Did you guys all sleep through her last Boston marathon?
I'm not sure how Desi isnt the clear favorite over Hasay
In record 97 F heat they do. Desi wins in a 2:38.

I really hope for her sake that she reads Letsrun. Your analysis is groundbreaking.

OP is obviously a jealous woman.
If Desi has any chance to win she is going to need to run faster than her competitors.
