Weird, I ran the exact same time in highschool to the hundredth of a second. In HIGH SCHOOL. Your friend isn't shit and is lucky to even be on a d1 team with that time.

My friend ran 1:55.0x and got money at USA, so pretty good.

When this kid realizes how lame his time is, there will be vomit all over his sweater already. Mom's spaghetti.
I ran about that fast in HS and 5 seconds faster in college. Never in contention for a win, just fighting for respect.
Bragging is lame. My teammate ran 1:48 and he never felt like he had a chance to score in big races either.
Your friend has a nice time, but His bragging makes him lame and a sign he won't get much better unless he changes his perspective on his performance
Excellent if he is 40 years
Ran 1:54 in his last year of high school in Detroit. Pretty well covered story a few years back when he talked about running like 15 miles a day on his treadmill.

These equivalencies are hot garbage. A 1:55 800m is not as good as any of those

Hello letsrun. I am not a runner myself so you need to help me understand something. This guy I know in college runs a 1:55.76 but he is the first to brag about "being a d1 athlete" every chance he gets.
How good is his time for 800?
No too good. 40 + years ago I was a d1 full ride guy. I ran faster than that indoor.
And I was a 100 - 400 sprinter.
