Or CSU.
Or CSU.
Given that she went through her 3200 in roughly 10:10, I hope she destroys that 2 mile.
Her rough splits were 5:04, 10:10, (15:24?) then 15:56

You're just angry you never broke 17. That's no joke either. It's rather obvious you're another of the jealous LR crew.
Were her parents big cheese fans?
There's something mesmerizing about Brie Oakley's metronomic, focused running style, but her form looks kind of dangerous, in terms of injury potential. She's a bit pigeon-toed, and her arm action may need tweaking. Maybe she's biomechanically healthier than I think. Wishing her the very best!

Her form kind of reminds me of that other HS phenom back in the day, Amber Trotter, whose form was like a marathoner that would "shuffle" with quick strides and little lift. Obviously it works well for her, but fixing it could help long term.

It did not strike me that way at all. It made a point about Oakley being good.
And 13:54 is good, but it didn't even strike me as bragging- after all, it is NCAA D1 weekend, and that time probably would not even qualify.

Right, it seemed to me that his point was something like "she is ahead of my progression, which ended up faster than the women's world record, so she is definitely on a trajectory to be very competitive at the top levels."
Going to Cal makes it seem less likely obviously, but you never know. Tony occasionally works for an athlete here and there, he only fails with most of this athletes, not all.

It really paid off for Mary Cain.
Not being a jerk.. But i'm confused, why are the indoor records so bad compared to the outdoors? Really in the top 10 for indoors is low 17:00's in the 5k? There are little boys who beat that, also why doesn't someone like Shalane who is way faster just come snag an indoor record like this, or huddle?

The event has been rarely contested by high school girls, especially indoors. Now with a national championship, times in the 5 will drop for girls.
In other news, a kid who just turned 14 years old, showed up to a 5k I ran this morning and ran 13:57 (4:30 pace) at 6,200ft altitude.
Why are womens times so much slower than mens? Even a little boy ran way faster than that.
...13:57 by a 14 year old and in Colorado at 6,200 feet. Is that a state record, actually is that a national record for 14 year old in the 5k?

The results are screwed up. The actual winner ran 15:35. The women's are messed up as well - has the top two at 14:45 and that didn't happen either. Maybe those are wheelchair results.
9:56 2 mile
