If this were not Letsrun, home of the dumbest running fans on the Internet, I would be surprised at the number of people who actually think it matters whether the loops rises a total of 18' throughout each lap or whether this is the total amount of climb over 21.1km -- not that this was unclear from the RW article. Anyone who thinks this will make any difference at all in the sub-2:00:00 "attempt" probably thinks that the safety of people in an airplane headed straight for for the ground at 500 MPH hinges on the quality of their seat belts.
Seriously, at least TRY to get real. If Vegas were interested in this bullshit it would place the odds of breaking two hours at about 10,000 to 1 against, and the odds of "merely" breaking the WR at 8 to 1 against or lower.
