I can name---but I won't-- two other Big Name HS females that did nothing in college and another former ____ national champ from English speaking country. All to the same school, none with any success at all after inj. This stuff happens.
It's starts with coming to school with a preexisting inj. Their workouts don't go well, they go into shock, perhaps getting another different inj from compensating, they fade and become irrelevant.
Recruiting females is tricky. You have to know what you are doing. It isn't just about CC success and track times. You look at body type and how healthy you think the runner can remain under a sustained training program. There's a lot of money involved. Making too many mistakes sinks a program: particularly one that doesn't allow the 'running off' of students on 'ship.
