Did Saina DNF? Bumby is ok, but nothing special for a fast shorter guy
I'm hoping she DNF'd at this point. She still hasn't made it to 40k ;)
Did she finish?

you stated "wear white" as if it is a fact - and the "idiots" at Adidas couldn't recognize what Rojo did...it's obviously not a fact. read the article

Do you think the super long flight delays in Portland and her getting to Tokyo way later than she planned could have affected her race? Not sure how much time it takes to get over jet lag from that trip, never flown like that.
Eurosport broadcast with Larner was way better than MSNBC feed. Should've used that one this year.
I'm starting to thing all the big names are using the wrong racing tatics. Bekele and Kipsang went through the half in 1:11 in berlin, then faded to a 1:52 Second half. Kimetto went out in 1:45 then closed in 1:12. Negitive splits may be the way to go

I think that was actually Kipsang's plan in Tokyo on Sunday: 61:30/61:20.
I wonder if Kipsang is planning to run Berlin in fall 2017. He has already said he doesn't want to run the World Championships in London b/c he's running for Kenyan parliament. Clearly he's hot on getting back the world record before he finishes his career, and Berlin offers the best chance. On the other hand, he seems keen on winning as many of the Majors as possible, which would compel him to run Chicago. Hmm...
How many U.S. marathons are as fast as Tokyo, Fukuoka and probably several other Japan marathons? Chicago and Twin Cities? The dearth of fast courses and good conditions is what hamstrings U.S. development. That and the unwillingness of our best runners to get in the mix overseas. At some point some of the new Kenyan-Americans will probably start running 2:05 or better I suppose.
who won?
Any word on what happened to Betsy? Did she just crack, was she sick, etc? I was actually thinking she had a chance to win pre-race
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.

Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
